I’m loving this weapon and I think its the best pistol in the game. Now it’s not a long range weapon and you would have to be skilled with it for mid range which I’m having so much fun with. Getting a kill with the Mangler at mid range is very satisfying.
3 to 4 hit kill. Think this is balanced really well and the trade off is a slower firing rate. Honestly I wish this weapon spawned more often and will become one of many useful weapons.
Hope it doesn’t get nerfed like what happend to the Ravager. The Mangler is really good the way it is.

It’s a good weapon and I’m having fun with it. It’s not like the boltshot. It’s an evolved version of the Mauler from halo 3 and I’m liking it. I dont care about the Halo Championship Series or any hyper competitive play. The HSC already has impacted Halo so much over the years and 343 tailor the MP because of it. Look at halo 5’s MP. We missed out on assassinations because of the pros of halo didnt like them. Now your telling me that the Mangler will be affected now too because its being abused in the HCS. Gawd dam it. Just when I found something new to have fun with.

If the Mangler is being abused with the melee. This just goes to show the melee is broken in halo infinite. 343 melee bleedthrough is nonsense, it’s broken and shouldn’t be in the game.

Mangler is basically the cross between a CE Pistol and a Mauler.
3 Shot headshot kill.
1 Shot 1 melee kill.
It’s great in mid range to close quarters, but trash in longer distances. A well balanced weapon.

It is one of my most used guns because of this. Especially for strongholds or odd ball where more close range fighting occurs.

Ive seen no problem with the mangler, if the pistol is like a USP.45, then the Mangler is like a desert eagle with its 8 round clip but slower rate of fire and higher recoil for that power. Plus it has a more melee impact.
Its like, the mauler, but better.
And yeah, those blades on the brute weapons, not much difference in multiplayer, but will be very useful in campaign.

This game has so many weapons that are absolute monsters once you have them dialled in.
Even the Ravager’s overcharge can be a really clutch 1v2-4 noob combo machine.
It’s still too bad about the Pulse Carbine though. R.I.P.

Yea not sure what they can do about the carbine. It is hit or miss for me. Sometimes I roast people with it and sometimes I can’t do anything with it. Maybe make it full auto? Kind of like a covenant commando. (Similar to how it used to be in previous games)
pulse carbine is good at punishing people who don’t understand cover.

Pulse Carbine COULD work if it worked more like:
-Faster projectiles (this will address the core issue)
-Fires faster
-overheats and vents faster
So it would be like a stream of Plasma > Overheat > stream of Plasma.
The Pulse Carbine suffers from its own burst fire, cos you need that constant pressure from a projectile based weapon, but it just lets off the pressure in bursts while having travel time for the shots.
Prediction: It will be removed or at least not spawn as often.

If any of you are sleeping on this gun, it makes for a very sharp pillow.
It’s a one-shot-one-punch kill. With any sort of enhanced mobility, it’s effectively a shotgun.
