Don't rush for a Halo 4 ranking system

The way Halo 4’s settings are now, a ranked system wouldn’t even function. You should wonder why a game like COD never had a ranked system like in H2/3. The devs know it wouldn’t even be worth your time. Spawning with weapons of choice? Perks? Instant Spawning? “Tactical packages” (ordnance drops)? Armor abilities? This won’t work at high level competition.

But in a sense, this is a good thing. It will allow people, who believe the game’s “innovations” being “the next step for Halo,” to realize how poorly designed the multiplayer is (and seriously misplaced at that). These people will reach a certain level where the chaos of a match with its inconsistencies and unpredictable engagements are bound to drive you mad.

You’ll realize the massive imbalances with the new design adopted in Halo, rendering any and all kinds of “play to win” mindsets as impossible.

I do not believe the ranking system would have people using their own loadouts since it would put players at an advantage over others. Understand?

True. You are preaching to the choir though. I am out of any hopes for this company salvaging this game for real competition. Even mlg is wack because ut indicates when the weapons are picked up. In short Broken beyond Repair. Social for life.

Don’t forget instant respawns, ordnance drops, AA’s, and, unfortunately, weaponless maps. Instant respawns already ruin flow of basic playlists like Swat and Snipers. But ordnance drops, AA’s, and instant respawns in playlists like doubles, team slayer, team objective, and lone wolves? Hell will ensue. Mind you this is all still assuming loadouts (and consequently perks) are predetermined like in Halos 1-3. Ranked has ways to go if it wants to survive, let alone be taken seriously.

Dude you must not play those other playlists because they have removed ordinances and Armor abilities.

Pretty much the big thing they need to fix is instant respawn and clearly they can do that. An example? You have to wait atleast 5 seconds to spawn in objective gametypes.

Truthfully, you have nothing to worry about there will be a fix.

So if Slayer Pro is ranked, the only thing they will have to fix is Instant Respawn? Thats pretty easy.
MLG settings could be ranked also, its slayer pro with Jet Pack and Thruster. Sounds Fair?
The Map ordinance just causes teams to move more, more movement more actions, yes their is some LUCK INVOLVED.
POKER HAS LUCK

It will be filled with people running DMR and Bolt shots not that I blame them why use anything else? I won’t even look at it until they fix this and the “un-scoping” issue.

If 343 was in their right mind at all, they wouldn’t add a Trueskill rank to the normal playlists. It would call for classic style playlists, which they can easily create.
