Don't reveal the enemy before release.

That way the story will be a surprise and a lot more fun than when you already know part of the plot.

I do want it this way, but if it is… what will they reveal at E3, during the press briefing? That’s usually when a big Campaign reveal occurs.

Actually, E3 2004’s H2 press conference showing was an MP presentation on Zanzibar. So we could get that, or something on Spartan Ops (and a new name, plz). That said, we already know tons about MP.

I think that’s what 343 is doing. They are slowly releasing info at the right time.

yes i agree, i’m totally looking forward to that moment when you go wow! when you first encounter a new dangerous enemy. Like 343 guilty spark in halo ce and flood gate in halo 3. Not knowing would make it so much of a moment to remember in years to come.

I’m guessing weapons, vehicles and more on the Chief and Cortana. More on Requiem and possibly the Covenant.

I’d like them not to but it’s going to be leaked and everything anyway, so I say just reveal at E3.

I say that the Campaign demo shows John and Cortana land on Requiem and fight some Elites, Jackals and Grunts with some news toys, before a War Sphinx appears and annihilates the poor aliens. With John staring up at it, the demo ends.

I agree, it would add a larger sense of suspense, drama, and shock if 343i reserve the announcement of the new enemy until Halo 4’s release. It could probably rival other shocking seminal moments within the Halo series such as the imergence of the Flood, the discovery of Halo’s true purpose, or the Arbiter’s incorperation into Halo 2’s campaign. Of course, we would be aware of the precense of new enemies, but not what they are.

I agree!

They can show the fist level because we all know that it’s just the Covenant in the opening. That way we can get a good campaign demo without spoiling this new threat.

I personally hope that 343 only shows a small bit of the first level and nothing more of campaign. Keep the focus on multiplayer and whatnot.

I’d like to keep all it’s glorious moments a surprise until I actually have the controller in my hands.

100% YES!

~ Duck.

Yeah keep campaign quiet, maybe a small bit of landing on requiem and then a bunch of figures are silhouetted in mist and the demo ends

No thanks I like my spoilers

(also as of lately I feel compelled to get ALL the spoilers prior to playing a game to avoid major disappointment

thank you Mass Effect 3)

Ah, exaggerations. If you think ME3 was a bad game, you’ve never played a bad game.

Though I agree with you, -Yoink- mechanics should revealed as soon as possible. The credits for that however goes to Reach and not ME.

you missunderstand me my friend. It is not mechanics that concerned me with ME3 (which I believe to be a VERY good TPS/RPG game at its core) but the plot and storytelling. I have faith 343i will do a great job with gameplay I am just eager to know more about the plot

That would be Epic!

Yeah, they can definitely show the first level, since it supposedly doesn’t reveal anything major. But even telling without showing any footage is bad enough, I hope they continue keeping most of the game shrouded in mystery.

I would rather they kept it secret as well. But when it gets close to release someone is inevitably going to let put spoilers out there as they some how manage to get copies early. I think I’ll be going dark close to release, but that will be hard seeing as that will be the time when I’ll be wanting to spend all my time thinking about Halo 4. =D
