Don't quit cause ur a man down

Don’t quit on your team just because you’re a man (or two) down

It was a brilliant game I really enjoyed it. There was a little bit of hide and seek involved but it was great fun.

Some of the best games I have had, have been with a short team that prevailed over superior numbers, good times =)

Yes, thos were good games hey Plunder?

I got a new awesome friend from both of us being abandoned by our team it was on shotgun assault in action sack and both me and him only got 1 score in but out of both of us guarding each other we both went positive K/D we dident boost we just played the game with one of us shooting and the other running with the bomb. and twards the post great game OP showing them how its done

Yea it can be cracking if you just stick it out. I made a pal in a different game when it was 4 v 2 an he was giving me all the call outs and we butchered that team although I do seem to remember him carrying me through that game.

I’ve had some good times on occasion with depleted teams. Sadly i tend to run into the parties that are there for easy kills so they are rolling around at spawn, but sometimes greatness happens.

Once in Halo 3 i didn’t quit out of a Game of Grifball when two people in my team left. In those days, I knew the blast radius of the Gravity hammer like the back of my hand. And my bomb carrying teammate had my back. As one man, I pushed my way through the enemy teams lines, one after another, several at a time; All four dieing over and over and over again to just one linebacker. It was an amazing game, it took some time for reasons of backing up and advancing during my push to keep myself safe, but with two people; We won a game against four. It is my best game of Grifball to date.

I will admit that i did resort to hiding when the team was down to three people against 8 in a party. But it did make for a great moment for our hiding spot on Utopie. We chose to hide out on the edge of the map at the tower. All i remember is looking at my friend and then turning around to see a Scorpion tank looking directly at us. A scorpion who then moved his camera away and didn’t even notice me skylining in plain sight from his position. It was scary.

One thing i have found enjoyable when a game is down to 1 person on the other team? I was quite the fan of hide and seek in Halo 2(I often went alone against 3 teams of two when there was an odd number of players) So i know how to hide, be sneaky and keep a low profile(Boneyard’s spaceship has exposed pipes, amazing hideaways if you have jetpack on. Infact, there is a pipe that runs all the way from the back of the ship to the sniper spawn). and as a consequence, I know where to check. While all these other people are hutnign this one man down, I show up by a cave in a mongoose and there he is.

Being able to apply your hiding towards finding is great. I pretty much thought ‘where would i hide on paradiso against tanks and banshees…cave’

Indeed sir =) welcome Master Sachimo. In all fairness I have had some really bad games with a short team, but even those are fun sometimes.

This, alot of good games with a man or two down, I had a team slayer game, all 3 of the other guys on my team were afk for almost the whole match and I got 30+ kills against the other team, I lost, but still.

At times I hope people quit. My friend and I have won several games in the past just by ourselves, and we’ve lost others because some people do so bad if they were graded on their k/d it would look like my trig grade.

Looking at it from the other side, be sympathetic to those who stick it out and don’t abuse them.

A friendly GG and thanks for not quitting after the match also goes a long way.

I have had some good games and some bad games when my team was down in numbers.

I specifically remember a game on Countdown wher my entire team quit, so it was 5v1 (Squad Slayer). I started hiding for a bit, and at one point just watched as the other teams guys hunted for me and passed right by me. Then I decided to start trying and went straight after the stickies and always managed to take at least one down with me everytime I died. I felt pretty good when they were rushing me from all sides and I beat down one person and then stuck another before I died. Good Times.

Me and a friend were actually doing that the other day.

This guy in Invasion had his entire team quit out and he was left as one squid face against 5 spartan’s. We all ended up buy his pawn area, four people camping and then myself and my friend hanging out on a on that house on the right side. We were just watching the camping going on, seeing as it’s so easy to camp the spawns in invasion.

We stood and watched, chuckling as we saw him sneak away from the four campers who didn’t even know he got away. After about a minute and a half they thought ‘let’s check the spaceship’ it was an amusing sight.

Then of course the game when we tossed on our mics, took a warthog and convinced the guy on the other side to hop into the turret. Us two blu traitors were amused, the rest of our compatriots? They were not amused. It was down to 4 people against the one guy and we didn’t feel like slaughtering the guy.

Others can be sympathetic but I will never do that. I keep killing until the score is reached or the timer runs out. I don’t care if five guys are left or just one, devastation is what I bring. No Mercy in halo =)

Looks like you and I have vastly different ideas of what’s fun. Personally, I don’t find it enjoyable to mercilessly destroy others in lopsided battles (or vice versa). To me, even matches and good sportsmanship make for good games and good times.

I think it shows great sportsmanship to stick out games that you have short numbers

Exactly Snowbound, plus u don’t automatically lose cause ur a man down, just played a game that was 4 v 3 from the start and we won by a mile.

> I think it shows great sportsmanship to stick out games that you have short numbers

I agree. I also think it demonstrates even greater sportsmanship and true class not to stomp on weakened teams. Play to win? You bet! Rub it in their faces? No way!

Don’t you just feel epic when you decide to be the team itself and whoop the other team that has more people. I got a rage message from one saying, “I’m a camping -Yoink-,” etc lol. After telling him my obvious situation for me not quitting, he agreed and basically apologized.

They just mad cuz I still won and picked off teammates solo. Other than that, some games you just have to quit. I only stay when I feel that the other team isn’t that much of a threat to me (in situations where all my teammates have left).

lol sportsmanship. Thank goodness there are no sportsmanship rules in video games because I’d refuse to follow them. Some of us don’t care to play nice with random players we don’t know. Total annihilation and destruction is the name of the game. I don’t play to make friends but obliterate players.

The last game I of grifball I stayed in even though we were being spawn camped we managed to make it a tie game. Out of the unsportsmanlike conduct - I say that because I would rather face a team normally than spawn kill them - I scored a goal, and so did a team mate. We may have gotten crushed utterly, but at least they didn’t win. We almost beat them had it not been a game of 4v2.
