Bungie messed Reach up rather quickly upon release. After (3 weeks - Month)after the games was born there was a mass ban of 15k players and even more afterwards due to the challenge resetting bull.

Bungie knew about it the whole time and didn’t even give an obvious warning to players but still banned/Reset them. I wasn’t banned and didn’t participate in the cheating but I’ll admit it was pretty sad, Made the company look more like -Yoinks!- rather than providing a saving hand to the distressed halo community (Sarcasm).

If there’s an obvious exploit fix it before players starts abusing it. Don’t get all prissy about it either. It’s NOT the communities fault that there was a screw up.(Another why reason we should have a BETA).

The BAN HAMMER was also the saddest thing in Reach. If a player wants to quit out because they don’t want to play a Map/Gametype they shouldn’t be punished with a BAN! Maybe a skill reduction or loss of Exp/Credits, but not a childish timeout.

Why not? I think it makes a company look professional by punishing those who deliberately cheat the system. People will complain more about a lack of policing, rather than being policed.

COD let’s the community do whatever it wants and the players LOVE it. COD Multilayer is way more successful than REACH was/will ever be. I hate COD but it’s so obvious that an OPEN environment is preferable over a CLOSED DICTATED POLICED GAME.

Why should they, it makes sense that if you decide to go into these games and leave your team so they have a chance of losing, you should be punished.

Those guys got banned because they clearly went against the rules of Xbox live. That quote I used was from Halo 3 btw.

Pulling out your cord to cause a glitch for unfair advantages is basically the same thing as people using a lag switch to kill others in matchmaking, it’s all NETWORK MANIPULATION.

Not crying over anything. SOMEONE - Happens to be a COMPANY. I HONESTLY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT NETWORK MANIPULATION. I WAS JUST SAYING HOW THAT MASS BAN KILLED AROUND 20k OF THE CURRENTLY DEAD POPULATION.

I totally AGREE! I only brought up challenge resetting because of the MASS BAN NEAR REACHES RELEASE. IT WAS STUPID. AND the population reflects that failure.

I just believed it was obvious that it was against the rules… I still remember that quote and the first time my friend said he was doing a challenge glitch I asked him: “Isn’t that Network Manipulation? And against the rules?”

Besides, using a glitch to reward yourself tremendously is always known to be bad.

Maybe they will have an actual clear warning in Halo 4, who knows?
