Hey, can anyone explain to me what SBMM and MRR is? I probably know what they are but I haven’t seen this terminology used before.

In theory, it may not work that way around but it’s absolutely a valid theory.
It without a doubts boosts your SBMM rank if you do well.
SBMM is skill based matchmaking while MMR is matchmaking rank. Both are two different names for the same thing, it’s a system that tracks players’ skill levels in the background, separately from displayed rank, and attempts to match you with people close to your true skill level rather than your display rank. It’s generally a polarizing system in most games that have it, I also play Dead By Daylight and much of the DbD community loathes MMR.

Skill Based Matchmaking and Matchmaking Rating, basically you are scored based on your KDA, and put with similar players of similar ability. More kills and less deaths means harder players next match. Doing good against bots affects your score.

Clearly the only path left is to double down and boost your MMR so hard you only play with fellow boosters. lmao
Either that or get absolutely destroyed by bots for an hour and get matched with super noobs and afk players
