In Reach, one thing that ruined competitive gameplay for me was the addition of Rocket Launchers in maps like Pinnacle and especially Powerhouse. It was just too much. You could bombard a good quarter of the map in a couple seconds, and wipe out the entire enemy team. I think launchers need to be kept to vehicular maps. Thoughts?
Well the smallest map is Haven, and it’s pretty large. I don’t think this will be a problem anymore.
Yeah, I think Rocket Launchers should be kept to medium-large maps.
I can understand concussion rifles and grenade launchers, but I have to agree that the rockets often times did the most damage in the smaller maps. However, Halo 4’s mpa will be larger.
I don’t care as long as there’s something to take its place. I just REALLY hope that the Grenade Launcher is returning.
Rockets are supposed to be powerful. They’re there to encourage map movement and confrontation.
So rockets on small maps in Halo 2/3 is fine but rockets on small maps in Reach is terrible so it should be kept out of Halo 4?

I didn’t mean just Reach, but since it’s the most recent game it’s more fresh in my mind so I said that.
That’s what rockets do… I mean it’s a power weapon…
It will blast people on any map, big or small.

Nope. Its been replaced by the sticky detonator.

Ivory Tower (Reflection in Reach) was a very big small map in Halo 2. This was because the map itself was large, but most of the rooms were tiny (Minus the large open area, but I never experienced major conflicts in the larger area.) and the rocket was on that map.
I don’t know. It has never bothered me before.

So? It was never confirmed it’s out for good.

Yeah, which is too bad, the Grenade Launcher was awesome. The Sticky Detonator doesn’t seem like it’ll be as great.
You do realize that the reason there’s a rocket launcher on Pinnacle is that there was one on Ascension, right? (SO SO SO thankful they left the Banshee out this go 'round though! Especially with the craptastic aerial lock on of the Reach rockets.)
But hey, let’s also get rid of the snipers on small maps too then. And grenades. Too many explosions and power weapons for sure.
There’s not really any “small” maps. If so, it is going to be like a MW2 Rust where its only on FFA or diffent gamemodes.

Pinnacle with a Banshee would be a horrifying experience.
no problem with rocks on pinnacle in HR, jetpack + rocks on the other hand…

Welcome to Halo 2’s Ascension. At least the rockets worked then.
