just get rid of the recoil on the BR. sure that wont do anything to help kill times but it will at least give the br more consistency.
idk thought it might help haha

I like how everyone only acts like the only two starting weapons are the dmr and br
Or just make the BR kill in one less bullet. Then it will be a 12-shot. Players at medium range will be winning their encounters due to recoil not being nearly as bad, but players who prefer to be further out will have a more-accurate rifle to rely on. The killtime of the BR will be faster than the DMR by a slight amount so a DMR user will have to think twice before engaging up close.

lol. theyre the best primaries all around besides against the AR up close. Besides who even uses anything but these two. assuming youre good.

idk bringing it back to 4 shot kind of bugs then it’ll be the F you up at all ranges in a good persons hands. not saying im against that but i think a good diversity is good for halo.

Headshot weapons have and always will be the most versatile weapons availiable. Are the automatics worthless in this game? No. But they are not all-purpose weapons, and never will be.

The BR’s recoil will prevent the bold statement from happening.
I use the suppresser most, they are good but they arent the only ones that are good. they are overly easy to use though (talkin bout the dmr and br here) unlike the fully automatic weapons though i know it sounds like bs to say it is true.

Automatic weapons are in no way more difficult to use than semi-automatic weapons. That is just not how things work. Their limited abilities is what balances them out.
carbine and br need a tiny buff that is all

Your right baout htis, but what i ment by this is that if you focus balancing around just 2 weapons doesnt every other weapon that is not these two suffer?
People neglect the carbine as if it doesn’t exist. It needs a buff and the DMR needs a nerf. BR can stay the same as long as they fix the other ones to balance them out. I think the BR is where the guns need to be IMO.

In a game like Halo, you are allowed two weapons. Halo is unlike other arena shooters in that you must build a playstyle around limited choices, instead of the ability to have every weapon at once. Weapons such as the BR and DMR allow the player to engage in most situations without necessarily being best at any of them. In this case, a secondary weapon would be used to round out a style of play. The “secondary” weapons I refer to would be every single other weapon but the BR and DMR. Those weapons should be balanced around a strong utility weapon. It also helps to know that the automatic weapons already work fine.
DMR=power and accuracy(slower)… BR=speed and high fire rate. It works… just pick the one that is your type of game play. If every weapon is the similar why have different weapons why not just have 1 primary and 1 secondary and call it a day… variety people.

That would solve nothing. The Carbine is already [just barely] below the DMR’s level. Giving it a buff would just make the Carbine the new DMR, while making the DMR a bad weapon.
This exact thing happened in Battlefield 3 right before the Armored Kill expansion came out:
Before this patch, the M16A3 was the best weapon. People on the Battlelog forums complained for months on how OP it was. Dice nerfed it by adding extra recoil to the rifle. In the same patch that nerfed the M16, they also buffed the M416. Pre-patch, the M416 had slightly higher recoil, a slower reload, and slower rate of fire when compared to the M16. After the patch, the reload speed was made quicker, and recoil made far lower. Now everyone uses the 416, and the same complaints that were focused on the M16 are now on the M416.
There is really nothing wrong with it… People just lack the skill to counter it or strafe or however you spell it… I use to hate it now i don’t mind it at all. I can kill people that are using it with any gun.
> it will at least give the br more consistency.
The BR has near Halo 3 levels of spread. That’s why it’s inconsistent. The “recoil” is almost non existent.
> DMR=power and accuracy(slower)… BR=speed and high fire rate. It works… just pick the one that is your type of game play. If every weapon is the similar why have different weapons why not just have 1 primary and 1 secondary and call it a day… variety people.
playstyle isnt the concern bruh

trust me bruh once you get on the higher skills of halo sometimes your strafe isnt good enough to get out of peoples shots.
haha and when it comes down to a 1v1 straight up there are no counters when the other person has the gun with a faster kill time
