Don't Lose Your Head

Assassinating an enemy will literally rip their head off. You are now holding their head like an Oddball. You can now use this head as a one-hit-kill melee weapon. After one kill the head would fall apart returning you to your normal weapons.

What?

why is people like this even in the forum

Holy -Yoink-…

Wasn’t expecting that. Lolz.

Really, you don’t actually mean what you wrote right? Because no one would have something like that in a game; unless it’s like Serious Sam 4 or something.

I’ve nothing against decapitation if you say assassinate an enemy but using the head as an oddball. Heck, I’m not even going to take that seriously. You’d better find a flame bunker.

In the off-chance you’re being serious, this is too violent for Halo. Halo is meant to be serious without the major brutality.

I think the ESRB might have something to say about that.

So snapping necks, stabbing heads, and impaling on swords is alright but decapitation is where they draw the line?

Yes.

Please cut down on your illogicality.

Well which do you think is more violent, being stabbed in the chest, or having your head ripped off?

Why is there grammar such as this on the forums?

Rated M for Mature.

Actually, it makes perfect sense. With all current assassinations, the body remains intact - unmarked, even - and there’s little (if any) blood. Ripping a head off, on the other hand, would inevitably involve mutilation of the corpse and fountains of blood, and the ESRB would give it an 18 on that alone.

It’s already M for ESRB. The problem’s with PEGI. The current rating for Halo being 16, with this added the rating would go to 18 making the game lose potential players as parents most likely care much more about it if it’s 18 than if it’s 16 (although that goes against the popularity of CoD).

And while ratings are good reason, even better reason is that it’s jsut not how Halo is. Halo has hardly any blood and gore. And I much rather play a game where the only graphical details that catch my eye are the beautiful enviroments, not limbs falling off. Gore is overrated anyways, the only reason to add it would be realism, which Halo doesn’t need.

Heh. Puns.

Also, this is a stupid idea.

For once, I can say that I completely agree with you.

Go play Gears…

Meh, not many modern parents take heed of ratings anymore. Kind of overrated anyway but alas decapitation in Halo isn’t needed. I’ll go for more blue, orange and whatever other colour blood though

Or Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Fear, Serious Sam 3, Skyrim etc…
