I haven’t played Beta and of course I am excited for Halo 5 because I love Halo (and have for YEARS) but there is one thing that makes me sick: the victory screen.
If I was the Commander of a group of spartans and I saw them doing whatever it is they are doing after post game victory (Fist bumping, skin slapping, being cocky, etc), I would strip them of their armor and abilities and sentence them to solitary in the brig for a week. If at the end of the week they did not know what they were in there for I would put them back in. Makes me feel like the Covenant should win the war. Or maybe I’ll fire those damn rings up myself if possible.

Wow, you have enlightened me with your truth.
Anyway, it is just my opinion, but I am happy that I am not the only one you have noticed with this opinion.

I know it’s your opinion. Doesn’t mean I can’t criticize it.

It’s hurting those who feel that they are being misrepresented by an overly enthusiastic animation being forced onto a virtual avatar of themselves (hence why games these days allows you to change your character’s appearance - so that you can express your individuality). It’s also something that many think hurts Halo’s previously established aesthetic (stoic warriors battling to the death in an arena). Halo 4’s Spartans in multiplayer were also Spartan 4’s and they didn’t perpetually run their mouths all the time.

Feel free to criticize away (honest), but commanding me to lighten up isn’t a criticism.

Fair enough. I do think that it’s a trivial thing to complain about. It’s not as if they’re doing this in the middle of a combat zone. It’s just War GAMES. The actual game should indeed be taken seriously, but there’s nothing wrong or unprofessional about fist-bumping teammates after a victory.

Fair enough indeed. My view is more in line with what Majatek said, than it is against what you believe. You can command your spartans as you please…I’ll still send mine to the brig! =)

Not a big fan of it but there are far more important things 343 needs to worry about instead of taking away some post game celebrating actions. As long as they fix other important things I can care less about this staying in the final game.
I may upset a few people with this but… The victory screen is how I would envisage American soldiers behaving after they had just killed a load of people! … Not cool on any level!
Im surprised 343 don’t have them shouting USA USA USA… USA!
