I don’t really get the mindset of a quitter. I’m talking about when the match starts just fine. People didn’t quit because they didn’t like the map/game type or something like that. It’s when the score starts going the other teams way, let’s say the score is 20 to 10. Then all of the sudden one person quits which then prompts the others on their team to quit.
From my perception these people aren’t just here to play a game. They have to be winning or they simply aren’t having fun. I have no respect for people who do this, it’s downright sad. It basically shows how spineless they are and will fold under any kind of pressure.
You searched for the game and played part of it, just finish the darn game and then if you want to cry, break something, and swear to never play again you can do that without screwing over the other players.
Although I do agree with what you said, with the broken state of this game sometimes people just get kicked out some how. I can’t tell u how many times I’m in the middle of the game and all of a sudden the game kicks me out. That might be the reason for a many “quiters”
I’ll be honest, I’ve done this a couple times. Not because we are losing. I don’t care what the score is. But when hit detection has screwed me out of a kill like 4 or 5 times early on.
It takes ages to get into a game, you finally get one, odds are the teams are uneven, you get stuck with a game/map/gametype you don’t like and then you proceed to get destroyed by the enemy team. You then opt to cut your losses and quit to save a few minutes because you lost the match already, no reason to stay and head back into matchmaking to gruesomely wait for the next match in hope that you’ll play something fun.
It doesn’t take a genius to figure it out. I honestly don’t blame them, their wait to playtime ratio is probably 5:1.
Once they fix Rank, you’ll experience less quitters.
There’s no penalty to quitting right now… so like others have said, when the game starts to have hit detection problems, there’s little reason to stay.
I don’t like wasting time. If I’m in one of those games where I have a great start but two guys on my team have zero kills 5 minutes in, I’ll leave. I also have very little tolerance for campers. Some guy has been camping with the sniper the entire game? I’ll leave. I play the game for fun, and when I’m not having any, I’ll leave.
Thats why we need ranks so bad because all these quitters will stay under 10 from games counting as a loss when they quit. So once you get to like 20s there will be 0 quitters because those people are obviously serious and trying to win no matter the gametype or map.
the reason why people quit is for honest reasons with this game most of the time. no one want to play an uneven matched game, no one wants to shot someone and nothing happens, no one wants to keep playing ranked games just for your rank to be reset for no reason.this game is still broken and will stay broken but hey go pr-order halo 5 now lmafo, it only cost 250 yyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
There’s three reasons why I quit a game. Either my team is complete trash, the lag is unbearable, or I keep getting cheated out of kills because I have to 10 shot someone before they die, but they can kill me no problem.

Or just learn how to use skill and kill him so that you can take his sniper…

Or just leave the game and not have to deal with people who camp the entire time…
Because there’s no punishment for it. For example, if I get into a match where 1 flag zanzibar wins votes over br slayer why the hell would I want to stay…

They didn’t quit immediately so I don’t buy the whole "They don’t want to play that map or game type argument. They already played part of the game. Also I said they weren’t really getting destroyed, they just started losing a decent amount. It’s still very possible to pull off a come back or at least close the gap a respectable amount. Why is winning all of the sudden everything? Can’t you still enjoy the game and trying to get kills?
My question is why exactly weren’t they having fun? You say it’s obvious but I don’t see it. Aren’t they still playing halo in the playlist they chose? Aren’t they teams still even numbered?

Those who quit in video games because they suck only to join and play again and quit again over and over are nothing more than gutter trash.
Find a better use of your time, or better yet, stop wasting others.

So that you’re not a whiny -Yoink- who leaves because he didn’t get what he wanted. Grow the -Yoink- up.

I played with people who chose Slayer on Epitaph over BRs on Heretic a few days ago. Point is why would you want to play on terrible maps or gametypes with AR/SMG starts?

He bought the game, he should be allowed to play what he wants. Blame 343 for the garbage playlists.
