Suggest me a title plez. Anyways, wouldn’t it be cool if Halo 5 and beyond becomes an update to MCC, just like ODST? If we ignore the fact that MCC is buggy, wouldn’t it be cool if we can get all the halos in one single game disc/file? All we have to do is to buy a “DLC” to the original game as the newer installments come out and they just get added onto the main game. I’m not promoting DLCs that chop the main game into pieces and sell them separately. I’m talking about true add-ons, not buy a burger and you only get the top bun kind of stuff. More like buy a burger and you can get a drink if you pay a bit more. Anyways, 343 would be able to keep fixing the game as well if we do it this way. Wouldn’t this make playing Halo a bit more convenient? You won’t have to switch games back and forth if you want to play different levels from different generations of Halo. What do you guys think?
What I wish they did with MCC was put all 4 games on a disc and you navigate them with a hub instead of trying to seamlessly integrate it with that buggy mess. Think of Doom 3 BFG edition, where they had Doom 3, Doom 3 Resurrection of Evil, and Doom 1 and 2 where you just choose the game you want to play in a menu. That way, it’d still work with previous editions of the game on 360 and such. They had a launch portal for the halo games in the 360 version of Halo Waypoint. That said, I don’t see that happening. They aren’t going to fix MCC. There’s no money for them left in it. A year later and we still don’t even have a file browser for the damn thing. They really soiled their name with that game, and it makes me really sad to even say that. To answer your question, yes, I think it’d be sweet if they did that. No, I don’t see it happening.
From the standpoint of a unified matchmaking experience, I think we’ve already seen that four titles combined is just plain impossible to handle, even if it wasn’t buggy as hell. Adding more titles? Not a good idea. And putting all titles on a single disc without unified matchmaking is just a packaging convenience which is irrelevant in the age of download. No, keep them separate.
I hated MCC
Eh I’m fine with it being a separate game. MCC was more of an opportunity to bring the Original Xbox / 360 Halos to the Xbox One anyway.
