DON'T KILL YOUR TEAMMATES! it's not fun...

So one of things I really like about Halo 4 when I first started playing “War Games” was that, unlike Halo 3, you were no longer allowed to kill your own teammates - that is, of course, unless you run over them with a vehicle of some sort. I have always enjoyed playing Big Team battles… but now there is a new variant called “Big Team” as opposed to “Infinity Slayer” or “Slayer Pro”.

I can’t stand that the “Big Team” variant once again allows you to kill your own teammates… I like to find the sniper rifle when a match starts, and now I have some idiot chasing me and depleting my shields so that an opposing player can kill me quite easily. Halo developers should have known better! There are way too many people who aren’t good sportsmen and play dirty, therefore ruining the game for us who just want to have some good-hearted fun. Can something be done about this???

I like having it, not because I betray people, it adds a layer of strategy

I don’t know about you guys, but every time a moron teammate betrays me for a power weapon, I take note of who it is and on my next spawn I’ll basically stop going after enemies and just focus on making his game virtually unplayable. I’ll chase him across the map, shoot him, get in front of him if he’s trying to snipe, melee him… I become a real mosquito and I’ll never let it go until he betrays me again and I can boot him. If there’s 9 minutes left to the game, well I’ll annoy him for the whole 9 minutes.

That’s how much I hate team killing retords. I just can’t tolerate this kind of stupidity. I understand it can be frustrating when a teammate gets to the sniper one second before you, but all you can do is move on and hope you get the next spawn.

Some people think they are entitled to power weapons, and that’s just wrong. Sometimes when I’m in the pre game lobby and I notice I have a really good player on my team, I’ll decide to not rush say a sniper at the start and let him have it for the good of the team. But if I decide that I want it and get it first, just accept it and leave me the hell alone.

For power weapons, yeah it’s stupid

I want it back in flood/ infection since the betraying at the end was always funny, plus it was funny when everyone is in a good spot and the betray someone to watch them die when they try to return

That would not be the best idea. While it can be funny with the post-game carnage, my friend went on betrayal sprees in Reach. One game alone he went -45 due to betrayals, he even obtained a few kills, so his betrayals were somewhere near 50.

Yeah I hate when people do that. I think there just nothing but little kids who think there all that

I agree with you but i play with my friends so the 0.50 K/D random kid doesn’t take my sniper.

In the perfect world, having friendly fire on would make games have more strategy and personally I’m a fan of this. However, what I’m not a fan of is when people shoot and kill you on purpose to ruin either your game or the game of the team. Unfortunately there are a plethora of people (both young and old, so please stop saying “kids”) who betray simply because they can. This is unfortunate, which is why in Halo 4 friendly fire is off most of the time.

What I find annoying however is when they turn it off and on over and over again for different playlists. Not that I go around spraying needlessly when it is off, but it’s nice to know that you need to be a little more careful with your shots when it’s on.

While it’s not as much fun when you get betrayed for jumping in a vehicle or picking up a weapon your teammates want, I do miss friendly fire. Killing your teammates not only added to strategy when using power weapons, such as the rockets, it made the game more fun in my opinion. Support.

Being able to betray people adds DISCIPLINE.

It’s time to teach the children of Halo to never harm a fellow teammate, and in order to educate them, they must be able to experience the consequences themselves.

BETRAYAL + BOOTING = DISCIPLINE

Yeah people say it adds strategy but in my experience all its added is people getting butthurt when you take a vehicle or a weapon. So they will either chase you around or try to make the game unplayable for you. That was pretty much Halo Reach in a nutshell for me. Its on the reasons Ive enjoyed Halo 4 so much, lack of friendly fire.

Granted I get what people are saying about strategy, but lets be honest here, a bug chunk of people playing online are gonna pull bs like that. Happened since halo 2

It may be annoying to get betrayed but betrayals have created some of the funniest funtages I have seen :stuck_out_tongue:

Well when I play Grifball and someone steals my assassination they deserve to be spawn betrayed lol

I thought the “R” on the stick shift meant “Run”.

At least, that is what that one marine told me…

If I get betrayed on purpose the player who did it is gonna be having a bad game. I will constantly lower his shields until the game is over. I won’t care about the enemies I’ll just keep going after him until he betrays me again and I boot him.

I remember that halo 3’s amount of betrayals wasn’t as often or bad for me compared to Halo 4 and Reach’s amount.

What are you talking about OP, it’s a lot of fun lol… only to your friends that is.

2 people on the other team, so I go on a Betrayal Spree(notice I avoid players that I don’t know). In the end, my friend booted me because he couldn’t kill me.

I would just like to add my friends need to know my dominance so I like betraying them >:D Not random people though
