Don't get your hopes up

The London toy fair is coming up soon and I’m sure most of us know by now that we’re going to see some Halo 4 figures. I really don’t think anyone should expect too much from this. 343 has said nothing of the event yet, while this may change I think that if there was going to be something big, they would have drawn our attention to the event by now. Lets not turn this into another VGA.

While I agree, I still don’t get it why people care if others are going to get their hopes too high and get disappointed at the end. I mean, they most likely won’t even listen to you anyway.

Yeah I don’t think we’ll see anything that will blow our mind holes. I anticipate a Chief figure, Cortana and the Updated Hog. Nothing else outside that I highly doubt it. Like you said they’ve not even brought to our attention officially on Waypoint. No hope here.

It’s just gonna be a bunch of toys…

Not really much to be excited about imo.

Like I said before, E3 might be when we’re shown something serious.

I try and not get overly excited about anything until it is right in front of me. This year is going to be a long one. If one gets super excited about everything that might happen they may get burned out very quickly.

It (may) will be a hog and the chief. Nothing exciting.

The thing is, we have come to expect news in the first month of the year of a Halo’s release, since the window is always the same 1-2 month range. 343i’s marketing strategy =/= Bungie’s, so what we have come to expect should be thrown out the window. This toy fair will have a John figure, the Worthog, perhaps a mongoose, and nothing extravagant. If 343i hasn’t had a reveal of it, some toy fair isn’t going to be the first look we get.

I would expect to see something before E3. That gives only a ~4 month marketing campaign at best before the release date looms. There is sooo much new that will be in H4 that 343i will want to show off in the months leading up to it’s release. This all said, I am somewhat surprised we have not gotten the tiniest of tastes since the last concept vid. Though something may feel like it should be due, that doesn’t mean it will be.

The more anticipation, the more hype, the better off the company is. When the hype becomes to ridiculous like “there will be 100 vs 100 all out war matches on an entire Halo Installation for matchmaking”, that is when Frankie will step in and debunk some ridiculous rumors gaining steam. Until then, we shall sit in the dark.
