Don't get too excited on earnable credits next season

Of course they’re going to be stingy with credits… Let’s all use our brains here people.

Oddly enough it seems like there is some portion of the playerbase that is so pro-capitalism that literally no matter what monetization schemes are concocted, they will continue to support the game and will be all up in the forum trolling about how they’re gonna spend $200 on cosmetics during the next event.

343 said they were gonna reduce story prices and they still suck, they said they were gonna fix btb and it doesnt work, they were gonna change the events and still nothing
dont get excited over anything they say

store**, dunno why i cant edit posts allofa sudden

As soon as they said earnable in the Battlepass I already braced for the worst… Like I’m going to take a guess and there is going to be like 5 Teirs that reward credits and like just 100 and that’s it for the whole season.

The way the update is worded suggests this is going to be the case. Not sure why people think it’ll be different.

As long as they’re earnable, makes no difference to me.

Bring em back lol

They were stingy with Default colors, they are most defintyl gonna be extremely stressed Stingey with Credits.

What past games had a credit-earning towards a pass system?! What are you people on?

What past game had you pay for the color blue?

Halo 1’s visual fixes, Halo 2’s visual fixes, Halo 5’s Forge, and Halo Infinite’s campaign are the only times I can think of where “wait and see” has ended well with this company. Pessimism is understandable.

Bro not even just any color blue… It’s the default blue you got in Halo 5 well one of the 5.

We only got 10 default colors and 343 seriously is like let’s monetize the other 50

With how the law is tightening the noose around video game gambling, lootboxes will put unnecessary pressure on 343’s marketing team for no reason. If anything, they need less pressure after their initial push for 20 dollar cosmetics.

given how monetized they’re giving halo, given that it is f2p, you’re probably still gunna have to pay for the premium bp inorder to earn any.
which makes sense, and would still be factually correct to their statement
and given how bloated the season 1 bp was… you most likely wont be able to re-earn the equal amount of credits spent, like most bps do.

Strongly agree about how MW2019 Battle pass was a fair way to play through to earn credits to complete it and purchase the next season.

However the only issue I personally had with the MW2019 Battlepass is that once I reached level 80-85 or so the tier system became a huge grind and for me and players like me that could not find the spare time
(due to family and work responsibilities) to complete the pass.

So I end up having to buy the remaining tiers to ensure I got all the rewards before the pass expired.

Fortunately though, Halo Infinite has non-expiring Battle passes so for Halo it will be the best of both worlds!

I’m with you there. Even with all their Double XP Weekends and extensions on a bunch of their seasons, there were one or two that I was short of simply due to life obligations. Also, I just got so burnt out that there came a point where I never wanted to touch Modern Warfare again. Given how much faster I was able to complete Infinite’s Battle Pass and I won’t have to worry about it expiring, I don’t think I’ll be running into as many of those problems as I did with MW.

But that is also where a concern lies where 343 will tweak either the amount of credits you earn or the grindiness of the BP so you won’t be able to complete the next one that quickly or just be able to buy all BPs from then on with the credits you earn from them.

But we’ll see how it goes. Its still a long way to May.

odds are there going to shoehorn the earnable credits into the BP so instead of 20 levels of XP boosts or challenge swaps you’ll be getting 20 credits at level 10, 22, 41 et cetera et cetera.

Yeah 6-7 months for a BP is too long, I don’t have much spare time at all and I still was able to complete the pass about 3 weeks ago with just playing 1 or 2 days a week after work.

I could only imagine how frustrating it would be for others that have lots of free time and managed to complete the pass before Christmas.

I’m patient, maybe shortening it to at least 3 months would be more reasonable though. They never expire so players can move through their seasonal BP at their own pace.

Well the original plan was three months and I believe that’s how its gonna to be for Season 2 when it starts. They just want the extra time to fix and have stuff ready for when we do get into May.

I’m all keen for that!
