There are a lot of threads out there with people giving their two cents on exactly how the gameplay should be. I have my own opinions, but I think there is something we all want and should be brought to attention.
Just don’t discourage fun. Halo 2 and 3 are by far the most popular Halo games. Yes, they both have really balanced multiplayer, but that isn’t even the reason.
Halo 2 and 3 were fun because of the great community that surrounded them. I remember coming home from school every day and hopping on the old pre-NXE Xbox Live and playing huge custom games with my friends.
When people wanted some serious competition they went to a Ranked playlist and had a blast, win or lose. When people wanted to practice up or just enjoy some default Slayer without the pressure, they got in a Social playlist with a few of their friends.
When you get bored of playing the game you hop on YouTube and watch people bring the same default Mark VI Spartan to life with various (and humerus) personalities.
I think what Halo 4 really needs is for the community to just lay back a bit an have fun. Don’t worry so much about every single game detail.
Sure gameplay and balance are important, but we need to focus more on the fun and less on the problems.
In short, Reach’s biggest problem wasn’t bloom, or armor abilities, or credits, it was us. We’ve been bad to Halo, and it’s up to us to bring it back to it’s status as an awesome online hangout.
If you want to help, complain less and suggest more. Start some community groups, get some friends excited for Halo 4. Support the game, and when it omes out, have fun.

I agree. One thing that I noticed about Halo 3 is that I played A LOT of fun custom games. I hardly do that in Reach, and there are some really fun gametypes. I think the reason why people find Halo 3 to be “funner” is because they played it when they were younger, and have more fond imprinted memories of it. Maybe that’s the same reason for why I can’t stand the new Pokemon and I like the older ones more.

That’s a good point. Nostalgia always plays a big role in these things, but the community was much more active and a lot nicer back then.
> I agree. It never seems like anyone wants to play customs in reach, and there werent nearly as many unique maps
I think at the beginning it was because custom games were discouraged by the cR system, but later because the community just doesn’t care enough anymore.
> Community is key, hopefully the old 2001-2007 Halo community will be back on live.
> But I doubt it will ever happen.
Even at the start of Reach the community was great. I think people are willing to give halo a second chance after all those years of fun it provided for them, but we have to make it happen.
