Just got an Xbox one for my 7yr old son for Xmas and the only thing we wanted it for was halo5. Found out after about 20mins of trying to play splitsscreen that it doesn’t exist. So now we are returning the Xbox and gonna eat the 70 bucks for halo and get a ps4. My brother has one it’s soon sweet. My advice is if your buying an Xbox one for halo DON’T it’s a total let down. It literally made my 7yr old cry. Don’t waste the money on an inferior console because of one game.If enough ppl return there Xbox then maybe they’ll get the message.

I totally agree the no-splitscreen is a major drawback of this game, and is one of the main reasons that I don’t play it as much as I would. I played a lot of MCC split screen with friends who didn’t have an xbox, or hadn’t played Halo before and it was a ton of fun. Unfortunately Halo 5 has to take a backseat to watching a movie or some other activity as I don’t have many Xbox one games, and only my MCC has split screen

Why are you complaining if your 7 year old is the one playing? Do you not have other games? Buy other games. Buy MCC. Buy CoD. Just buy other AAA titles if you don’t/your seven year old doesn’t enjoy the game. XBO is not just for H5 you know…

I bought it just for Halo 5. 
and then Halo 6. And so forth. Because I don’t care if people think the game is bad. Wooooooo Unless it is really bad, then why would waste my time investing in it. I play Halo because I love its universe. If only it had an open world rpg version where you can go on missions. But please not even remotely be similar to Destiny.

If there was more blood in the game and other things to make rated M, I don’t think it would have made a difference.

Its not like that.
With the majority of games coming out for both consoles it would be like the gear shift knob being the deciding factor between two nearly identical cars.

I bought the limited edition of Halo 5 and an Xbox One just for it. I’m satisfied with it, Halo 5 is a good game.

Or enjoy a superior machine and the majority of AAA titles? There are enough playstation exclusives to justify the switch.
