I actually like being able to play all maps and gametypes in every playlist. My two favorite maps are Regret and Pegasus, which seem like not so popular maps in the forums. Plus allowing people to vote for maps/gametypes in ranked arena will just make people vote for the map/gametype they are best at. I like being able to play all maps, not just the two or three maps that the majority like. Without mentioning that Veto slows down the matchmaking.
I feel the same way. Halo 3 was my favorite of the series, due primarily to the time in my life it was released. It checked off almost all the right boxes but the voting system made matchmaking more repetitive than it should have been. Epitaph was one of my favorite maps ( So many great jumps! ) but due to popularity, I practically never got to play it. Don’t get me wrong, I adore Guardian and The Pit but I would rather play all of the maps in the game than the most popular few over and over.
That said, I do wish they could do something to matchmaking that prevented you from getting the same map multiple times in a row. Rig is my favorite H5 map so far but I still don’t want to play it 4 out of 5 games in a row.
