Since launch I have disconnected from games about twice, The only bug I have encountered is the retrieving data error and that only happens once in a blue moon. Maybe I just have amazing internet speed or maybe you all should get off Starbucks wi-fi. I hardly think your bad internet constitutes finger pointing at 343.
EDIT: This post is intended for AMERICAN CITIZENS. I understand from what I’ve seen that the servers in foreign countries are a whole different beast.
They could at least do a better job with providing non-US players a stable multiplayer.
From what I’ve seen on the forums, players outside of the United States constantly get shafted due to 343’s servers.
Networking quality is a matter made of hundreds of different variables and you’re answer for EVERYONE IN THE WORLD is “Get better internet”?
Really dude?

Dude calm down, this post was intended for U.S players. I understand if foriegn players have problems, there is not really an excuse for any middle class American citizens. I live in the mountains of IDAHO, if I can play the game without problems then you can too

Ok, then be more specific.
Anyway when i manage to find a game with balanced or focused game is good, a bit unstable sometimes but good in general.
The real problem is that if i reach a too high rank in a playlist finding a game in it become suddenly a mess, i literally wait for games more time that the one spent playing effectively.
Expanded is like setting a Japanese server on Titanfall 2, a complete suicide.

Sorry for the misconception, your situation makes sense

I’m an american and I would get disconnected from H5 all the time and I can confirm that the issue wasn’t on my end. (I have amazing internet and have for a while now, in fact I upgraded again earlier this year.)
my internet is good. servers are bad. that simple
Sometimes, it is not their Internet. Sometimes its their ISP, sometimes the server really does some wonky -Yoink-.
I live in the Netherlands. Game seems to do fine here when playing online with only an occasional hiccup now and then.
been horrendous in july-august, but lately its super consistent with no disconencts and very rare lag issues in game which go away real fast…i play from asia btw.
Here’s the low-down…
If you start lagging or glitching out, then you have the issues.
If you are moving normally or dont experience anything on your side, and yet see one specific (or multiple) players teleporting everywhere, THEN that’s 343’s fault.
Yea, some people have bad internet and they blame 343 for it, but I think we all know that the servers itself are not the greatest.
With 5 days of play time, you’re barely scratching the surface of what many have experienced. Gratz on dismissing the plight of a large part of the community, both foreign AND domestic. I guess this thread, although a year late, was just for -Yoink- N giggles

I didn’t know this thread existed. Thanks. Now instead of complaining about my lag I have a useful way of reporting it.
It has nothing to do with peoples connections. There are issues with netcode. People have far more issues in this game than with any of the AAA shooters online. If you don’t have issues, great for you. A significant portion of the community had/has issues that they only experience in this game.
This is entirely false.
300mbps/25mdps with Rogers - in Canada. My internet is clearly not bad.
Still get ghost melees, rubber banding, teleporting, and shots not registering.
More often than not my connection to Halo 5 (in England) is pretty stable. Every now and again it does throw me off but that’s rare and my internet is a little bit poo tbh.
