In the last dozen warzone games my team head straight to the aliens every time one turns up! the abandon bases under attack and should a team member ( IE ME ) get into and kill most in not all the enemy I get no backup until the aliens are killed.
Sorry did I miss something because when did bases become worthless?
The American player are the worse at doing this to the point some base are unclaimed for ages?
I’ve played games where I’ve taken a base and been playing cards with the marines because hardly any one tried to take it from me!
Didn’t we just have a problem with everyone running for bases and no one getting bosses
Bases really never meant anything other than if you have all 3, you can try to destroy the core. All the points come when the bosses arrive. People cared about bases at first to get the commendation for capturing one, but now everyone has that, so they hardly matter.

You get points every few seconds depending on how many bases you have which is why a team with 2 bases can catch up to the team that got the legendary boss without getting 150 kills
