Games Halo 5: Guardians

Played 3 games today, 2 of which I was lagging like crazy, and every opponent seemed to have all the cheat mods installed and doing moves that are not physically possible with normal gameplay. Seems there’s lots of these cheaters popping up in the last couple of weeks, and 343 doesn’t give a -Yoink-, because they know they’re losing people from the H5 community. So, the cheaters won’t get banned, so whatever.

The community is dying off and I keep getting matched up to the same team 4 or 5 games in a row. This happens on a daily basis. And it’s always lopsided in their favor. Because of the cheat mods.

The 3rd match I tried to play, all my teammates sucked. 1 minute into the game, I’m the only one who got all 6 kills and my teammates all had goose-eggs, while they were getting killed. Score was 6 - 15 before I left. I left after I got stuck along a smooth wall and couldn’t move and got killed. Don’t understand why I keep getting stuck on something that isn’t there. Absolutely infuriating. So, I left. And got banhammered. All this -Yoink- from a game where I’m trying to have fun makes it the exact opposite.

And the lag. OMFG, the lag. Takes me 3 or 4 shots with the scattershot or shotgun AT FACE-TO-FACE RANGE, to kill, and sometimes it doesn’t even kill the enemy!! Yet, they can kill me with 1 shot from halfway across the map with these two weapons. More -Yoink-.

When my Live subscription runs out in the next month or so, I’ll be taking my money elsewhere. I certainly won’t be paying upwards of $500 for a new game console, either.

Just wanted to address this bit - there are no “cheat mods” in Halo 5.

As it stands there are no available exploits to the Xbox One OS that would allow modification of any of its online services and, by extension, no way to modify any game that runs on the OS. You can be sure that it would become public knowledge relatively quickly if such a thing were to happen and the first tests certainly wouldn’t be to mess around with a Halo game :wink:

What you are experiencing will likely be a combination of lag / server connection / local connection issues. If you’re on Wifi I would switch to wired, or clear as many things out of the signal path that could affect your connection - cordless phones, etc, move closer to the router.
