So ive had some time trying to complete the weekly challenges just to see if I can. 1st week I had one challenge left and it got restarted and everyone got the free visor out of it. The next I missed out on one challenge again because the fracture event started. So with this week and fiesta I managed to get the weekly and capstone challenges done and all I can say is.
Never again 343.
First
Just to start by saying its not worth it and i hate that these challenges are the only way to properly get through the battlepass. Completing challenges should be rewarding but now there just not. They feel like way too much of a grind and there not fun in any way. I know there supoosed to be challenging but they dont feel that way at all.
Second
The challenges themselves, they were in no way played tested at all and only thought of. Some were bugged yes but most of them were ridiculous to complete, and to mention the type of challenges too. Times 5 or 3 to complete. This can only be done on this or that map or game mode or certain weapons. But the worst were the challenges that only can be completed by sheer luck!!!
Third
The way it’s forces people to play the game i.e. team lost a CTF match because one teammate wouldn’t stop driving the warthog because he needed to get splatter medals. The worst we all dealt with was the 5 killing sprees in fiesta. That’s just the energy sword/hammer, camping or grapple/thruster to get the drop on your enemys. So because of this challenge fiesta was a horrible experience for new players that dont know how the game mode was liked before in the past by all halo fans. It was meant to be this goofy fun game mode and these challenges damped that fun experience.
I honestly had more fun just doing what i wanted to do and not focus on challenges and I tend to do so from now on. If I manage to complete a challenge it will be because of sheer luck that I didn’t even notice I had a challenge for that. I will not ever force myself to play the game in a way just so I’ll level up.
343 really should learn from the MCC and have the challenges like that. This right now is terrible. Hope they improve it.
