If you want to build good will the community stop releasing half baked games or skeletons of games. Halo is on life support as is. Delay it if you have to again but don’t release a half donkey game like h5 was. Please for the health of the franchise
This game needs too release this year for the health of the franchise, if it means that some features need too stay in development after the main games release so be it.

I’m tired of this mentality push it put now fix it later. If it ships not whole it will only give fuel to the 343 is Incompetent argument that has proven true for so time now. Don’t release halo 5 2.0………

Forge is a huge part of Halo and is an essentiality and is 100% what made Halo 3 feel like a complete package along with theater and in such a way that made it a game for the ages.
Even for non-forgers, it is interesting to take a break from campaign and go test vehicles in the sandbox, or stack fusion coils, or blast elephants into the sky.
The community aspect of customs and forge is a huge part of the game. Them launching like this is a mistake.

It’s not a mistake if these features would be BS if they weren’t delayed. Would you rather have a horrible forge that you can’t do much of anything in on Day one? Or a relatively bug-free forge about half a year down the line? I personally would choose the second option, as 343 has.

forge not being there is not a big deal I like forge but at launch its not that important we have MP and campaign to keep us entertained and forge will be added later on so it isn’t a big deal at all

they have delayed the game enough and forge is not that important at launch. and most people only care about campaign or MP so its not a big deal

Man you are licking 343s boots a lot. There are a lot more fans who will wait for a complete game I know I would. Going this current path will piss off that portion of the layer base. So they can’t do what they want until a year down the line ?

It will def piss of older fans of the game if they don’t delay but if they delay this game will be irrelevant to other newer players we could get one delay already made the hype die down if they delay again only old halo fans will even follow the progress.

Half-baked indeed. If they release it without Forge, it’s dead in the -Yoinking!- water.

Saying I’m pissed doesn’t show it. I wish I could really say what I want. Co op day one was going to be great with friends…… now we have to wait a year and avoid spoilers just to have that experience

I’d rather they’d delay the whole game, so it feels like a game, and not parts of a game.
The best Halo games have risen on the totality of their gameness, and not on disparate features. There’s not a single mode that you can point to in Halo 3 and say, with any real justification, “The game would’ve been as successful as it was without THAT.”
The theater and file share system built the community.
As did the forge, and which got people playing Halo who would otherwise have never picked up an FPS.
Multiplayer was multiplayer.
Campaign was campaign.
Custom games were great.
That game does not exist without all of these.
And they’ve already delayed ray-tracing, and are talking about how “not all issues from the preview will be solved by launch.”
It’s clear that their core experiences have areas that can be polished or expanded, based on words they themselves have said.
And how many multiplayer maps do they have? 9? 10?
That’s not going to be enough. I’d settle for 12 at a minimum, and even that seems bare for a game launching under the moniker, “Infinite.”
I am all for giving them the space to launch this game confidently, and in a way that doesn’t make me feel icky as a consumer for consuming it.
As long as I have a lot of different MP modes and maps to play on, I’ll be fine without a delay. 2 Features that are coming soon after launch is not worth a delay of the entire game. I’d rather play Infinite while waiting for Forge instead of waiting even longer for the entire game.
