I am very dissapointed in 343 removing dominion from playlist. I dislike most of their other playlists and dominion was the only one I liked. I just started to get back into Halo 4 and decided I wanted to get dominion victory master for the fact of getting the commando armor. I was sooo… close, just about had the armor. Nest minute it’s off the playlist and I can’t get the armor when I was jsut about to unlock it. Thanks alot 343 now how am I suppose to get it? And also thanks alot for removing my favourite game type from playlist.
Please 343 or whoever is in charge of the playlists, put dominion back up. I spent so much time getting this close to dominion victory master and now I can’t get that or the armor.
It means I did everything for nothing.

Yeah, I really liked Dominion too. I’m hoping that during that short time frame there’s an influx of players in that playlist to push it back permanently. Wishful thinking, perhaps? But I know what I’ll be playing nonstop during that span.
I found games instantly on dominion, but I really am no fan of the other game types in the playlist. So till dominion is back on the playlist, I am gonna be playing other games.
They killed Dominion when they added that awful Lockdown gametype. I used to really enjoy it before they did that.
Gamer Freak, i feel your pain. I had to bust my -Yoink- to finish this before it was removed.
I’m trying to do the same thing in King of the Hill before it goes away from the rotational playlist.
I honestly do not get why 343 has made some of the changes to the playlist that they have made.
No way playlists that have commendations attached to them should be removed from matchmaking.
If anything, move Dominion into BTB and make it an 8v8 gametype now. It needs to stay in permanent rotation, not temporary.
Same can be said for King of the Hill, Oddball, Regicide. Those should be incorporated into a Team Objective. AND put CTF in there as well. This will consolidate those playlist, but keep them ALL ACTIVE. Why Objective wentto 6v6 then completely away is beyond me.
343 made a good game in Halo 4, but not great. and with this total mismanagement of playlists, they are only wrecking the game’s population even further.
Take Team Slayer for instance. It used to have a population of about 50% of whatever BTB was running. It stayed like that for the LONGEST time. Then all of the sudden, when 343 made the Majestic map pack mandatory for that playlist, it dropped to 10% of BTB and has stayed there.
Why is it so HARD for 343 to see this? They need to eject Majestic from being mandatory in Team Slayer and make an ALL DLC playlist. Doing that would bring more back to regular Team Slayer as well as give a playlist to those who DID buy the DLC. Also, in doing so, those people still chasing achievements in DLC map packs WILL have that chance, instead of a RARE opportunity happening in matchmaking.
I honestly won’t blame any gamer at this point if they boost achievements. It was already a bit hard before, when the DLC playlists where temporary. Now that they are gone, it’s VERY hard.
So yeah, getting back on point, I COMPLETELY understand your frustration with Dominion being gone, or thrown into a rotational playlist.
What does that say for 343 when THEY made that gametype?
I really hope for the next game, they take a LONG hard REALISTIC look at matchmaking. It’s the bread and butter of the game. And unfortunately that bread has gone stale…

Because it’s not coming back as a permanent playlist/ sorry but that’s just how it is
P.s. Tweaking it and adding it into BTB would be a win win in my book / it could work with just a few changes .
low population? every time i played it had at least 800-1000 players and games like team throwdown have 57 people playing and rumble pit has like 300 aversge they need to bring it back how it was everything was perfect about it
I understand why they removed it, though I am a little sad to see it go, like I am with all Objective playlists.
I find the Objectives far more enjoyable because you can’t just run around killing and dying over and over, it takes… at least a little teamwork to win.
I was actually planning on moving from CTF over to Dominion to try and master that on as well, since I recently mastered CTF…

I too enjoy Dominion, but ever since they added the dreadful Lockdown which is essentially KotH it’s never been the same…

Are you even on the same planet as the rest of us? Dominion was in the top 5 most played list! It was always populated with 800+ people. Compare that to something like Throwdown which has around 100 on a good day.
This rotational crap needs to end and they should start making things permanent.
You can still play dominion on custom gaming, so you can still play it with friends.
