Does anyone know why dominion has been removed yet again from the playlists and when it may possibly come back? Dominion was the only gametype I ever enjoyed and now halo has become rather dull. Any help is much appreciated.
Not sure when its coming back, but its part of the rotational playlists, so yeah…
But, to be honest, it was one of the gametypes that i actually enjoyed in Halo 4.

Well, it does cost 343I money to support the servers needed to run Dominion, and if the player base of Dominion is too small, 343I doesnt have a good reason to keep those servers up.
I loved dominion. It would have been a good idea to have enemies capture areas as soon as they entered them, which would spaced out the combat more.
I hope they improve on Dominion in the next Halo game.
Dominion is the closest thing to Invasion and it would do 343i and Halo 4 good if it were treated like CTF and practically immortal during rotation.

Which brings up what I’ve been saying. How about we grab Team Throwdown and push it somewhere else so there’s room for Dominion or a DLC Playlist.

Agreed. Dominion is fun… and Throwdown has a lesser amount of population.

But then we get angry classic fans flooding these forums saying how 343I doesnt appreciate them.
I just don’t understand why it’s been removed. It had around 1000 people playing it at any given time the last time it was out which makes it more popular than most gametypes
Yeah, I don’t think Dominion is ever coming back as a perm. playlist. From the looks of it, they are set on keeping what they have now for until Microsoft shuts down the servers in a few years. Despite any low population changes there might be, this seems to be final.

Yep, all 200 of them. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few…Dominion would at least have a minimum population of 500. A good 300 more than Team Throwdown’s 200 max.

Well, there is that, but i dont 343I is going to take the risk of being caps locked to death by people claming that 343I has lied to them and that 343I wont respect them.
