This thread is regarding Dominion in future Halo titles
It’s a pretty solid gametype! No bones to pick with it.
Sort of off topic though i am still waiting for a gametype merger!
2 teams play out Dominion regularly, while a 3rd team is the flood and they infect other teams, eventually overrunning the surviving team haha
It’s currently my favorite gametype in H4 since Slayer, FFA, and CTF have all been pretty thoroughly ruined. It’s a fun take on territories, but I think the base resupply ordinances need to be made more consistent. Losing a game because the other team got a bunch of rocket launchers on their resupplies and you got frag grenades and battle rifles is really frustrating. They need to include more maps and rebalance Meltdown. I don’t get why a symmetrical map has different vehicle spawns for A and C. Giving both bases rocket warthogs on fortification seems fair to me.
There needs to be a Covenant themed map too, and I don’t understand why on the UNSC ordinance maps there aren’t railguns and sticky detonators in the ordinances.
Keep it of course, it’s one of the only playlists that’s actually fun.
I clicked keep it but i wanted fix it the only issue i have with it is rocket launchers and i belive everyone should havea set loadout on this gamemode too many boltshow users and when i can get past them i have to deal with rocket launchers.
The only issue I have with it is the only problem the mode has: Getting stuck after capturing a control point.
I voted keep it.
But, really, remove Rocket Launchers from Exile, and lower the frequency of explosives being dropped for the gametype.
Spamming grenades and sniper camping points is enough, but having a dude just sitting in a corner with Rockets is no fun.

Keep it its a solid gametype.
But there are things that really get on my nerves.
Like the proposed lag when you finish capturing a base and the odd one sided maps.

Dominion is my favourite Halo 4 game type. Heck id argue it’s my favourite game type of all time…
I really like the idea of the gametype. For me, though, it’s way too many power weapons. And the Last Stand mechanic just doesn’t make sense to me. I’d like to see how it plays without personal ordnance and without Last Stand.
I’d keep it with a few tweaks. The weapon spawns in this gametype are by and large bonkers. As it stands, you have no incentive to leave your base because of the constant rotation of rockets/snipers that spawn inside or just beside the base.
Neutral power weapon spawns on a reduced timer would make this gametype flow better, move faster, and promote teams leaving their base (and likely would promote more offensive games).

Well I don’t think it has personal ordnance, but the bases having their own de facto personal ordnance serves as an equal irritation (worse, if you consider you don’t have to do anything at all to be guaranteed a rocket/sniper at some point).

I’d absolutely keep it. It’s one of my favorite gametypes overall!
I think you should get extra points for initiating a Last Stand. I have been in a number of games where my team has gotten them into last stand multiple times and yet we still lose somehow. I also agree with an above post. They need to work some covie ordnance into this gametype. Right now the only way you can get beam rifle, FRG, concussion kills is with slayer and maybe getting lucky with the ordnance drop.
Gametype is good. No beef other than resupply is often a BR or DMR… Really? Pretty lame.
I say keep it… least ways til I get my commendations, after that… not sure.
Fix it. I don’t like that by the end of a game it feels like you just got done playing fiesta slayer with all the power weapons everywhere. It has lots of potential but really it’s all about power weapons and that’s boring to me.
