I’m making a Dominion map on Ragnarok and I’m having trouble getting rid of the “Map variant not compatible with game variant” when I try to do a custom games test.

Any solutions?

We really could use some tutorials from 343i on how to forge with the tools and game types. That is something that rolled out slowly with Reach over a period of weeks and months. I hope it doesn’t take more than a week for H4.

I agree, map compatibility issues in Reach were a huge annoyance and it took ages for a full and complete “guide” to be released that detailed the necessary requirements to map a map work.

I hope such a guide comes out soon so threads such as mine don’t have to pop up every 5 seconds.

I’m making a dominion map on Ragnarok, but whenevr I try to spawn an objective drop it only says “objective 1”, “objective 2” and so on… but to my understanding it should say “resupply alpha”, “resupply bravo” etc. Any idea on what’s gone wrong?

I’m still working out the kinks myself, but dominion forging is mostly advanced settings. First, go into Dominion Forge Mode, then for anything you want to be for Alpha base, set to spawn sequence (1). Bravo is 2, Charlie 3, etc. Also make sure you change it to game specific, and set all labels correctly. (i.e., turrets are labeled as Dom_Turret, base zones as Dom_Base, respawn zones as Dom_Res, vehicle pads as Dom_Vpad, etc. I only just recently found this out, as I said, so there’s still a lot I haven’t had a chance to really try in Forge yet. What I really want to know is: The default teams are set for red and blue, and while you can change teams, these are your only options. So what I need to know is if I can alter these defaults and change it to, say, Green Team. I’d really appreciate it if anyone could help me, and maybe I could return the favor.
