Switch up the controls so that it plays like the old 007 games. My wife doesn’t play much with me, but this helped her quite a bit.

I actually gave her my old N64 (when we were still dating) to get her used to one-axis controls, didn’t fare to well either.

I’ve tried getting the wife into Halo, but she does not like FPSs at all. I got her to play Spartan Assault, and she didn’t hate it, so there’s that.
