Wasnt able to catch the livestream yet, really hoping the wasp flies differently than the Phaeton, anyone know?
Kinda, so yes.
Req lvl 3.
It picks up speed the longer you move forward, like the Falcon.
Looks faster and more agile than the Phaeton. main difference is that it can’t do that dodge.

Does it have any sort of boost mechanism?
Edit: Well I guess not since the Unsc vehicles we typical get have no acceleration boost feats.

It doesn’t appear to have one. From watching game play though, it can get out of hectic situations pretty quick. For a level 3 REQ, it looks pretty balanced.
I was hoping the difference between the Wasp and Phaeton would be that holding down LT(for my control setup) would send the VTOL into a forward thrust mode like the Banshee. That didn’t happen due to simultaneous missile launchers and chainguns but it did seem like it started to fly pretty fast if going forward long enough so I guess it’s a win/win for me and 343.
The Wasp is very much a 3-directional Ghost-like vehicle, where the Phaeton, though has a mini-boost, is like a sluggish 'Hog of the sky.
The Wasp’s cannons are more for peppering players out of scope, keeping their shields down and chipping at armour. The rockets lock onto aerial vehicles but not on the ground. They are your real “skill killers”. Firing on target while remaining highly mobile is the only way this thing will survive against above-average communicating or equipped enemies, while doing effectual damage.
Yeah, it flies mire like a hornet
It looks like it has the same VTOL mechanics as the Hornet, but with the speed physics of the Falcon.
It flies like a faster Phaeton.
