does this mean...

In the campaign we are master chief… who is a spartan 2 it think

And in multiplayer we play as a Spartan 4…

Does this mean that they will feel different?? and if it does this is bad because the first thing i will do is beat the game on heroic… then play some multiplayer… and if going from a spartan 2 to 4 is a big change that means i will suck haha

Most 99.99% likely no difference.

They make a basic gameplay mechanic for the playable character. Then use those mechanics for both Campaign and Multiplayer.

They say we play Spartan 4’s to make more sense according to the story, as they have a “reason” for Spartans to fight other Spartans.

I don’t remember where it was, but cross my heart and hope to die I read that there will be no discernible difference between the Campaign and Multiplayer player traits.

I hope your right

I don’t think they’d make them play differently. Remember, gameplay isn’t canon. Even if the canon says something about an SIV not being able to do something an SII can, it wont necessarily be that way in gameplay.

if Gameplay isn’t cannon we’re all good

I think they will have maybe one different gameplay mechanic and maybe a few player traits but nothing mind-blowing.

The visors will probably be different, to give a more intimate feel for the campaign. If anyone has seen the AR gif, you would have seen the HUD outlines which is probably only for campaign. Also in-game animations that show his physicality in cutscenes and sequences will differentiate the IVs from the chief.

The choice to go with a minimal HUD for multiplayer might just be a design choice for online competitiveness/equality.

I read that too.

ya i dont really understand all that either

Think of it like Sgt Johnson in ODST firefight
He is not a ODST and has no helmet, but he plays the same

Maybe, maybe not. There is more of a chance that it will be the same. 343i stated that Spartan lV’s are almost as strong as Chief, or as strong as Chief. Don’t know exactly.

I don’t think they will be too different.

In terms of the cannon, I will be irritated if they try to argue that the Spartan IV’s are as effective as the II’s are, despite the obvious drawbacks IV’s would have over II’s. However, in terms of gameplay…well there’s not going to be any difference, why would there be. Skins are skins.
