If you look at the latest Halo Bulletin with the details on the Championship DLC Bundle, you’ll notice that the pictures of the Ricochet and ODST armor both have Black set as their primary color. No, NOT Steel; it’s obviously Black, you can see it plain as day.
Does this mean we’ll finally get to choose Black as an armor color instead of just “Steel”? For some reason, the color has only ever been available as a forced color under the “appearance” tab for Custom Games in Halo 3 and Halo:Reach. I think people have asked to have it as a regular armor color before.

> EDIT: hmm, were you talking about the undersuit of the the armor itself?
Scroll down through the Bulletin to where it says “Bullseye Pack”. Right underneath the pictures of Pitfall, is a picture of the Ricochet armor with sort of a bluish-black Primary Color, similar to what we got as a forced color in Halo 3’s Infection mode.
Even if not, they have special graphics rendering tools that they use for pics like that, and they can make the suit whatever color they want. It’s highly doubtful they’d add black when steel is so similar.

You need glasses, dude. Look closely at that pic of the Ricochet armor; it’s obviously black.
I doubt they would use that color if they weren’t including it with the DLC; look at the Armor section Halo 4 on this website. All of the pics of the armor in there are using only in-game colors.
> ODST and Prefect armor look slightly black so maybe.
Prefect armor? No, that one looks to be in some kind of light-purple that I’m certain is already in the game. ODST and Ricochet, though… especially Ricochet, which looks to be using the exact same black armor color as the Spartan-IVs in Campaign and Spartan.
It would make sense, to include that new color with the ODST armor, don’t you think?
> Been wanting Black ever since Reach didn’t have it.
I think Reach actually had Black as an armor color in the multiplayer beta… then again, it didn’t look at all different from Steel in the final game, so that doesn’t really count…
It’d be nice if someone from 343i could confirm or deny this. Any new armor colors in the Championship DLC Bundle?

i actually remember that black, is was significantly darker than Steel, about the shade that was used in Halo ODST
id love it and anyway that would mean using your surroundings to your advantage, thats what ODST’s do, they dont just stand in a bright lit area and go, well itll make it fair they use it to there advantage and anyway with a game like this with promethean vision you can see them!! which is something ill definatly be using with ODST armour!!
but yeah, id like it
and black undersuits!!
> Bungie said the reasoning for getting rid if true black was to keep players from not being seen in dark areas of the map.

> Personally other than firefight or spops I can’t recall a playlist that you actually use your colors, regicide is the only one that comes to mind.
Currently custom colours are used in: Rumble Pit, Regicide, SpOps, and Flood (Hive Mind)

Are you serious? What about Rumble Pit? Living Dead? Lone Wolves?
