Does shooting an opponent getting rid of their shields about to headshot them then a teammate begins to assasinate him but you still shoot the enemy. Personally i dont think it counts because you basically did all the damage. What are your thoughts?
Kill stealing is nothing but someone’s envy of getting the last shot on an enemy, and that is the truth.
I wouldn’t worry about being pinned as a kill-stealer, it sounds like such a juvenile insult to be honest.
Also, in this case, this guy was trying to steal your kill in a showboaty way, so you’re not in the wrong. He was trying to nab an assassination at your expense if anything.
Kill stealing… Lol

They had a Medal in Reach called Yoink! for taking a kill that an teammate was assassinating.
Also technically the guy might’ve not been aware of you trying to kill the guy - and saw the assassination and went for the opportunity.
In my opinion if you are playing a team based game there is no kill stealing. All kills rack up to your chance at winning, which is why I’m lax on when someone takes my kill (unless I am assassinating, then I get really mad!) But other than that the only other way I allow the term kill steal is when you’re playing FFA. But that’s just my opinion
But in this case he was being a total jerk. If anything a nice grenade to the face would have been a good message to lay off XD
I try to refrain from taking someone’s kill if they are in the middle of an assassination unless they are trying to nab it from me. I know it sounds silly, but unless you’re a friend trying to be a joker, I find it rude to have someone kill the guy I’m assassinating and rarely is anyone actually attacking the guy I’m assassinating before I go for the assassination, I guess I’m the weird type of gamer who will actually stop shooting at a guy being assassinated and just watch… Also OP you’re definitely not in the wrong, fighting him before your teammate went for it.
IDC anymore now that we have KDA rather than KD.
