So, i was playing warzone assault in a team of 12, and we were defenders on array, so what we did is we kept on killing the enemy team until there was a minute left on the clock, when that happened, we all left the spire and let them capture it, then we killed them some more, and same deal, with 1 munite on the clock we left so they could capture the armory, and then we just kept on killing them until the timer ran out, four of us managed to get an unfrigginbelievable with banshees and a phaeton, but is it technically farming? i mean, we are literally letting them capture everything.
See here my unfrig:
Plus an overkill and a killtacular

Why though?
Because you are killing Spartans not doing the objective.

I’m defending the core, that’s the objective in defense.
What’s the point of doing this?

I dunno, it’s fun to get a huge streak very easily.

Yeah but you did it really on farming.

This, trying to extend the game so you can beat up on people that are less organized and skilled. Id say its another way of farming sometimes its worse then the other kind. When they trap you in the garage and all spawn phaetons and cant spawn without dieing since they get in the garage with answers. But honestly who really cares? After all these farming threads and the arguing back and forth. Its wrong to do this to people but you cant make jerks care about other people not in their nature. Im so sick of hearing about this topic wish the threads would just stop. No one will change their opinions about it one way or another.
Not at all, you were simply defending the core well. And besides, they could have just taken out a spartan laser and killed you but they didn’t.

I mean, i get that, but farming has been in halo for a long time, i remember in halo 3 when people used to capture 2 flags and then killed the enemy team the rest of the match, i don’t think 343 or even microsoft for that matter can tweak the game in any way cause it won’t stop, at least not entirely
It counts as farming because your team has demonstrated that it’s superior and can easily defend the objective. By willingly abandoning the objective, the objective you’ve easily held for 5 minutes, simply to extend the game so that you can continue killing the enemy team, you’re engaging in unsporting conduct and…farming.
I’ve been on the receiving end of this more than a few times in WZA. Trust me, it’s farming and it’s not fun, at all, because there’s always someone on my team that falls for the bait and caps the objective, extending the slaughter.
Not necessarily because you are doing the objective and you are defending the core. plus there is a time limit and you cant keep this going forever

Sometimes it’s incumbent on the community, not the developer or publisher, to regulate itself and behave in a sporting manner. If players can’t do that, ya know, basic respect, then no, you’re right, the problem won’t stop. But even if parts of the community can’t get their heads around the concept of respect and sportsmanship, that doesn’t mean you have to engage in the behavior. Right?
The way I see it, if you’re letting them capture the first two bases, then only really defending the core, you’re really only putting yourselves at a disadvantage. And typically, farming in Warzone is when you trap the enemy inside their base and leave them to defend their core while never actually destroying it while racking up kills. You’ve put yourself in that position. You’ve put yourself in a position to be farmed.
Only difference is, it’s Warzone Assault, so again, you’ve given them two bases, prayed they’re worse players than you, have worse REQs than you, and don’t farm you in your own base before destroying the core (if they even do that … we all know gamers these days love their K/D more than winning, for whatever reason). So … go right ahead, I guess. I don’t really see the harm.

Well, there hasn’t been a match where they do destroy the core yet.

The objective is to defend the Garage/Spire/Fortress. It even says when you lose the base, "Base lost. Proceed to the next objective". Only when both the Garage/Spire/Fortress and the armory are lost does the objective change to *“Defend the Core”.*So, no, they’re not playing the objective by “giving up” the current objective in a bid to extend the timer and the slaughter.
Spin it however you like, but it’s unsporting conduct, farming, and definitely not playing the objective.
Yes this is farming. did you really have to ask? I’m sure you knew.

I ask because i want to know what people think, since i hadn’t heard of this type of “farming” in the forums, so i thought that the general consensus was that no, since the chances of them blowing the core are much higher than the chances of a team coming back in regular warzone are.

I don’t understand why you would make this forum.
