The radar is fine, stop relying on it like a crutch. You have the same radar as everyone else in the game, so if you are always getting assassinated by others, you are doing something wrong.
The reduced radar seems like it is supposed to encourage team communication. Most people don’t really talk much in matchmaking (myself included), but if you pay attention to your teammates’ locations on the map it can help you know where enemies are and are not. As of now I use the radar to let me know if someone is in my “personal” space.

The radar is fine. It’s faster moving style but if you pay attention to the radar, you’re fine.
