Does the new Waypoint use the new GT system?

I understand the forums are separate (you can name yourself anything here), but does the new Waypoint use the new gamertag system?

Ie: Will you show up as John or John1234? Really hope it’s designed around it, it seems Infinite the game is. Most newer styles will show John and if you click their profile it would show John#1234 somewhere. Not sure how this one is working just yet.

So I can change my username and not accidentally change my GT?

Edit: PSA - changing your username is unintended! Snickerdoodle just responded to my comment about it.

Mine was showing with the numbers, but I edited them out.

Welcome back Ken. What about on Waypoint though, not the forums.

Can you still edit your name? Mine was just Yama but reverted to YamaMX. Odd. Thinking the forums being a different name was an hour one glitch, might want to make sure they’re the same so things sync.

Did you try the Discourse app? It made me login and seemed to happen/sync after that.

Heard having a different name is unintentional though and they’re porting in our old posts, if a different name they may not be synced so may want to look into that.

I couldn’t get the Discourse app to load so have just been using Waypoint on my phone browser.
