Or am i just not very good? I wasnt bad at halo 3 and reach i could usualy put up a fight but i started playing halo 4 again at the weekend and in alot of the games i have been getting destroyed with an occasionally good game,
Reading on the forums i see people saying how this is the worst halo and it is not competetive and things like that but from the games i have been playing i find it the hardest halo i have played so far

Because you didn’t play the 1-50 playlists in Halo 2-3.
I played 1-50 in halo 3 i got to 40 in lone wolves but that was my best
I noticed a hell of a lot more DMR/BS/Plasma grenade noobs on the forge maps playlists.
I go positive almost every game I play until I played the Forge playlist. I absolutely got destroyed and actually ragequit once. So yes, I’d say the good players are in there.
If you use a DMR you’ll be fine, any other weapon and you’ll get owned.

Bingo, I was a level 32 in slayer and never got any higher, but damn it was fun trying.

I feel more comfortable with the battle rifle but i guess im gonna have to try the DMR again because i want to stay in this playlist if it has good players so that i will improve,
Also i noticed a few glitches on these maps i got stuck on the gravlift on one of the maps i forgot the name but i had to kill myself because i couldnt move,also i got stuck in one of the walls on shutout when i was jumping away from a grenade
Yes, they’re in Infinity Slayer and the Forge list (stomping on my face). And I do use the DMR just to keep up.

I used the dmr a lot when the game came out, but now I use the light rifle/carbine because I’m going for 100% commendation completion and I find I can hold my own pretty well with the carbine. Especially if I can get some kind of nade hit on the target. The carbine shoots so damn fast it’s almost like an automatic weapon.
With that being said if I was playing a game for money I would still use the dmr, but if your good you can hold your own with the other load out weapons.

Use the Carbine.
You don’t improve by using easy to use weapons. You improve by challenging yourself.
It’s also because these maps are all around more competitive than the default ones. Simplex is very much associated with MLG from what I remember hearing.

Wait, what? I got a 28 in H3 LW, and I find Halo 4 to be 1000x easier than Halo 3. My K/D used to be 0.85 in H3, in Reach it was 1.3 and in H4 it is 1.22 w/ a win% of 56.

I’d believe that. In Big Papa SaLot’s file share its listed as an MLG map. I also got completely destroyed earlier today…
You know in reach I hated team slayer, I always did poorly in it. In this forge playlist in team slayer games I do 10 times better than I did in reach, and not because of personal ordnance either. It may have been the maps or the dmr dueling which I wasn’t good at but my stats are much better now than before. Or maybe it’s just because I’ve become a better player since then. Today however I was kicking -Yoink- then all of a sudden I drop and get kicked from xbox live. A little too convienant if you ask me. Open NAT, no lag issues, no framerate issues today and kicked from live. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone had a hand in me dropping.

I did play halo 3 alot but i always thought that 40 wasnt that great,i had a 30ish in team slayer and swat but could never get any higher so i decided to do lone wolves,
My K/D for halo 3 was around 1.20 but was alot worse because i was possibly the worst halo player ever when i first played, Reach was 1.71 but was alot higher until i started to play arena and halo 4 i have just failed at completely apart from a rare few games that i did well

It sounds like you were similar to me, but I’m having next to no problems in Halo 4. Maybe it’s your loadouts or your playing style isn’t work?
I’m finding the forge playlist to be a bit more competitive than infinity slayer at the time and I’m loving it. Btw I haven’t even touched the dmr jus whooping on kids with the Br and having lots of fun
