Does the Falcon have a place in Infinite?

Okay so I really really really think the Falcon has a large role to play in 12 v 12 PVP. Back in Reach it was awkward because it could house 3 people, and when shot down that was almost half a team out for a couple seconds which can change the tide of the game quite drastically. However, I think this is where the Falcon can shine! Having a powerful aerial vehicle that can transport two gunners would be so fun, and balanced within the sandbox. Weapons like the Skewer and Shock Rifle can take it down which makes it a risky play, but if taken down it is only a quarter of the total team which makes it not a huge risk.

I mean heck have it spawn in after the Scorpion and maybe be a transport Falcon that can move objectives to really escalate stuff, having Scorpions try to shoot it down or something? And grapple jacking a Falcon while an objective holder was being transported would be nuts! Not to mention the potential it has in custom games.
The Falcon is a vehicle that is near and dear to my heart, having - along with the Warthog - my favorite Halo vehicle design. I think that it has a wonderful space to fill in Infinite BTB, and I know a lot of us Reach kids would be chuffed with its inclusion!

I also think that it would be really fun on Total Control and bring the matches a bit longer, seeing how you’d be able to transport troops in a last ditch effort to get a zone back. Again with weapons like the shock rifle, skewer, etc the Falcon has a great risk/reward aspect to it!

Please let me know what you think about this, would you want to see the Falcon return in Infinite?

Yes, it definitely fits the sandbox better than the Wasp, considering there are at present no team based aircraft and the Falcon would be perfect for that, while also being an effective hovering vehicle.

I think it would be the perfect fit for infinite. With larger team sizes we need more team oriented vehicles than ever before. So far the only ones we’ve seen are the warthog and the razorback, the latter of which isnt all too interesting imo as it’s just an upgraded gunner less hog.

The falcon would be perfect. Give it 2 turret seats and 1-2 passenger seats, make it more heavily armored than the banshee and wasp and make it fast, and it’ll be perfect imo.

I don’t care if it ‘fits’, I friggin’ want it, same as a flyable pelican and phantom… and ODST pods. For forge maps and custom gamemodes.

Would love to see it in infinite. It may need a driver weapon (chaingun like reach’s campaign perhaps) to be viable, and maybe even have it so you can fit passengers off the sides (again like campaign) as well as the side turrets to have more team transport, but it definitely deserves to be in the game.

I believe the falcon is returning, last year 343 did a video of sound recordings, in that video they was capturing the sound of a helicopter, also way back at the start of the year there was a sandbox blog, and this was said (QD: One of my favorite sandbox items is a vehicle that we haven’t shown yet, but I’m sure I won’t be alone with my favoritism once we do reveal it to the community. This vehicle isn’t totally brand new, but it has received a fresh coat of paint while awaiting its triumphant return to Halo).

Yessss! Yesss pleaseeee! I was totally thinking about this constantly while playing. This would be the perfect way to return the falcon, imagine being able to have 7 guys in it! I want me my falcon!

I don’t think it fits. I would rather see an adaptation of a Hornet or Hawx that has additional armament for passengers. I’m no lore junkie, but I’m not sure how using an older aircraft would make sense. But I guess they’re also using an older AR and BR right? So what do I know?

I think a multi man air vehicle has a place, I just don’t know if it’s the Falcon. Maybe a duel seated UNSC Hawx where the pilot has some limited offensive capabilities, but with a gunner/co-pilot, it is much more of a threat.

i think it has a place but it was really just a flying warthog so what i think they should do make it more of a transport vehicle and only the driver can fire (weak bullets) while the other to shoot with their weapons. Does this sound familiar? its the hornet!!! Loved getting the flank with this vehicle.

The Falcon would have utility in a 12v12 mode, especially one with a map as big as Fragmentation. After launch or further down the road, I would absolutely love to see it.

Multi kill favorite.

I think regardless of how it might be balanced in multiplayer, it would be wonderful to see it back in campaign. The hornet and falcon were so much more… Halo than the Wasp. The Wasp is just bizarre, I wish they would cut it and go back to something more classic. Once again it was created to be more balanced with the banshee in MP, and designing vehicles etc. solely based on their role/balance in MP will lead to uninteresting, bland vehicles like the Wasp.
