Are there any major differences between the beam rifle and the human sniper? (Besides the ammo)

The beam rifle is covenant oriented (now known as storm). The sniper classic is and has always been human.

Aside from this basic difference:

Beam rifle can theoretically fire consistently without reloading given that the timing between shots is correct. Otherwise it overheats.

The sniper rifle has a permanent four ammunition per magazine. Usage of these bullets will require a reload once depleted.

Both take two shots to kill.

But yeah, the two are essentially the same from what I’ve seen, just like in Halo 2 and 3.

There might be some subtle differences. Human sniper is probably better against vehicles, for instance.

Wish they’d added something more unique (even Focus Rifle), but oh well. Whatever kills people :stuck_out_tongue:

The Beam Rifle apparently is a beast at hipfiring (without zoom) and multikills too.
