When I press Dpad Up I see a beacon effect on my radar and a beacon like sound. What is this? Is it actually a beacon I can use during multiplayer?
It lights up your gamertag for other players to see so you can use it if you get into trouble and need help. Pretty good idea but it’s effectiveness is a whole different story.
Same as the post above unfortunately a good idea that is never needed or utilised it feels like it was tagged on ( same as playing with a team in campaign , a worthless last minute add on )
Only use for it is if you’re across map with a few teammates and you call something out. You can ping and people may more easily see you, but it really isn’t too great.

When playing solo it usually ends up that 1 person coming to help you out of 11. Some people spawn doing it which is strange.
It lights up your gamer tag so other players can see (teammates). It’s just an extra little callout
depends on the teammates, majority of the time it’s useless. what do expect from the same people who don’t play the objective to try and get kills.
Its supposed to indicate that to get help or a Callout or some sort , but, noone listens to it, & I eventually end up like Noble 6
I’ve used it during WZFF to let everyone know where the AI is spawning, but it appears no one pays attention to it.

That happens to me a lot, because during my wait to spawn time I am flipping through teammates PoV’s to see what’s happening. If I don’t stop in time then the beacon pops up.
I find it a little surprising that players don’t know about this feature even now. It’s not much mind you, but it can prove useful when used properly.

- Relaying your location to your teammates - As an S.O.S. signal if you’re in trouble - Exposing the location of enemy players
Occasionally I would press it and it would have no effect so I totally forgot it’s existence until I would press it by mistake and wonder what it was. lol
Yeah it works in multiplayer. I use it when playing with friends so that they can quickly identify where I am and then they can come and help me out. It’s really helpful.
