Does the 24 Player cap transfer to Custom Games?

Something that has been bugging since Warzone’s announcement is the player limit. We are allowed to have 24 players in a Warzone match. My question is does this player limit transfer over to custom games and other game modes (As we known Warzone is a replacement for firefight and exclusively matchmaking based meaning it stands out from other game modes in the game)? I really hope it does personally because we’ve been stuck with the 16 player limit for custom games for many years now and since we have the new follower system on Xbox Live we should really be allowed to take advantage of the mass of friends we have in our custom games. Imagine game modes like Infection and BTB with more players. It would be brilliant to say the least. Imagine being swarmed by enemy players on Infection being the last man standing. Halo MP has always been about carnage for me and that is why I am really hoping for the player limit raise to transfer into normal MP. Anyway is there is any kind 343 people who would like to answer my question please do because I haven’t seen anything about this thus far.

I really hope so, the machinima could really benefit from the extra body actors too.

Well with the loss of split screen Machinima is already gonna be a lot harder to do on Halo 5 so the extra actors would be awesome. The only down side would be controlling 23 other people lol

Not to be a stickler, but Warzone isn’t a replacement for firefight. I’m sure it will be a fun game mode, but Warzone is very different experience I am sure.

As for the player cap, I think it’s been confirmed that customs is still capped at 16.

Meh, I don’t see how splitscreen could help them much if they had to control 23 other people!

Kind of is friend, Spartan Ops was brought in to fill in for Firefight and now Warzone is filling in for Spartan Ops. All the experiences are PvE. Warzone is essentially an evolved version/hybrid of Firefight and Invasion (With a bit of Spartan Ops perhaps) as it provides objectives and PvP in a PvE environment. And if the player cap is not atleast raised slightly I will be upset. Do you have any sources to confirm the it has been capped to 16 players?

I’m referring to the fact that people would often do all the body acting locally on Splitscreen. Now literally all of the Machinima community will have to do the body acting exclusively online (Unless you’re a big company like Rooster Teeth that can afford multiple consoles being in a single room to do the body work.)

Warzone is not a replacement for firefight since its wasnt even in halo 4. Also warzone isnt replacing spartan ops because its not a only PVE mission based or objective. Warzone is an addition to halo and not replacing anything. Spartan ops was bad and was just removed. You can say just because something is add and removed that they are there to replace what was removed. Warzone is pretty much btb with AI and a higher player count. The AI aspect isnt even comparable to firefight or spartan ops because the lack of AI. Now if they added a new mode that had mission and wave based 4 player co-op then you could compare it to firefight and spartan ops.

You’re misunderstanding what I am getting at. It’s the equivalent to FireFight and Spartan-Ops for this installment of the franchise as it doesn’t fall into the normal multiplayer (Like Spartan Ops and FireFight which also happen to be PvE modes). I know what Warzone is all I am saying is it’s filling the same role for this game. Not trying to start a war but that is the point I am getting at. Because Warzone isn’t a normal game mode is I felt a need to bring it up when talking about the player limit for it. Like FireFight and Spartan Ops had a max player count of 4 players but the Halo Reach and Halo 4 had a max player count of 16 in normal multiplayer. So what I am asking is does Warzones player count transfer over.

I’m 100% sure that there has been zero conformation of a player cap at 16 or 24. Trust me I’ve been looking for that answer for awhile now.

Also it would be safe to assume that custom match can have at least 24 players. 16 being the max hasn’t been confirmed.

Thank goodness lol. I’ve been looking since Warzone’s announcement and it hasn’t really been brought up surprisingly. Custom are apparently running on Dedicated Servers this time around so they should be able to handle 24 players in my opinion.

when we played we couldnt start the game with 17 so unless you have actual game footage with 24 ppl in the game, it is 16 ppl in game but you can have more in the lobby. which is prob why you didnt let the rest of the screen be in the picture. ive even seen videos where ppl had to kick others out because they passed the 16 fireteam limit
