Does swat really help?

Just wondering if SWAT really does help improve your aim as mine is total crap right now and I really want to improve it.

It could in theory, but I would just suggest running around in other playlists and sticking to the magnum (or whatever precision loadout weapon). In SWAT you only have to hit the enemy once in the head, but out in the real world of the other playlists you need to be able to land multiple shots on target to kill them. So I think practicing that is more important.

No it doesn’t if your aim is already good then you want to work on how quickly you can get your aim to the headshots then maybe. Improving aim comes from finding a sensitivity that suits your game play style , then playing games which are difficult that forces you to sink or swim , repetition , practice. Maybe try some easier game types and work your way up as halo 5 is notoriously hard to aim in . Try firefight for example until your feeling good / comfortable then maybe try some social playlists where objective and rank aren’t important and just go for kills , concentrate on the 1v1 encounters ignore everything else and just see if you feel comfortable with your aim / sensitivity . Don’t spam shots even if you lose the fight concentrate on placement of shots and your get better . The amount of times you get someone spamming you and you wait a second longer until you have that decisive headshot and then start firing can make all the difference. Comfort / placement / practice / repetition have helped me get a little better but there are far better players out there then me , but hopes this helps any ? God luck

I’ve found that sometimes instead of aiming with right stick (if you play standard controls) it can help to move to the side with left stick instead, (for precision aiming)

Personally, yes. When I really started getting into Xbox live, Halo Reach, my buddy and almost always played Swat. To this day Swat is still my most played playlist and I’ve always been pretty good at headshots. I believe it is to be caused by playing so much Swat back in the day.

i would say it helps to quicky get that head shot after you pop their shields, yes. Beyond that I don’t feel it will help in the long term as you still need to shoot them to get their shield down in every other playlist.

Swat could help with your aim, but it depends on the player. Remember, swat is one shot and most of the other playlists aren’t.

SWAT only helps with reaction time. Nothing with aim.

I partially agree. I think it helps most with reaction time, but your aim will also improve as a side effect, if you will.

Maybe, if anything it’ll help you aim for the head more than the body.
I’ve been playing SWAT for a long time, been Champ a couple of times.
The only things you learn are: Spawns, Reaction Time, Aim for the head.
