If I had to guess, maybe a modded controller. I’ve heard about players able to fire bullets faster than they should logically be able to. If you look that guy killed you and someone else at the same time with an AR. Your friend was to your right and the enemy player (based on the radar) was even further in that direction.
Does Warzone not do theatre? I can never remember. I’d be willing to bet he shot both of you at the same time with his modded pad because you two were in a line.

That’s not how the modded controler exploit works, this was straight up barrnicals. my guess is a hack or some dumb lag.

Hacking or modying Halo 5 would require an active exploit to the Xbox One being play. As of posting there hasn’t been any confirmed exploits so modding Halo 5 or any other game on the X1 is not possible right now. Modded controller seems likely here, which there is already a patch in process for

Turbo controls have been around since the '80s, so I wouldn’t be surprised if someone was using a third-party / modded controller to gain faster TTKs.

Throw in some funky connection voodoo and sure something like that could be possible. Even possible without the addition of a modded controller. If information is related to each client or part of a message is delayed / broken up, by the time things are figured out things have already progressed. Could be a one off, but generally you would have more issues like this happening in game.

If there is no limit on how fast one can fire the AR, then there’s nothing stopping you from firing frame perfectly, which at 60 frames per second gives you quite a few shots. That said, I checked this video frame-by-frame, and it only took one video frame for the player to die, and as the clip is 30 fps, this is at most two in-game frames, which is too fast. But as stckrboy said, there are no known hardware exploits on Xbox One, so the only sensible possibility for a kill this fast is lag (potentially combined with a modded controller).
