Yeah they do. I feel 343 should experiment with delayed powerups. For example, OS would spawn one minute into the match instead of at the very start. This would create more of an equal ground for both teams.

It is equal, both teams can reach overshield in the same time. Plaza is the same way, despite not being fully symmetrical.
There’s no advantage, both teams get the power ups at the same time and if blue team is slow the OS area is a nade trap so it’s entirely possible to burn it if need-be.
That being said, blue have a slight advantage with Slayer because they spawn with snipe on their side and a good view of OS.

It’s the same distance, but I prefer to be on the blue team because you can control catwalk easily
