This was just a question I had for the community. The radar has been an essential part of Halo gameplay since forever, and now we have Promethean vision. Like it or not smart map movement which involved crouching to avoid detection is going to be killed by Promethean vision. This just seems like the one armor ability that doesn’t belong. And I’m worried that I’ll have to waste an armor mod to counter it.
What are your opinions?
no radar is still very useful for watching your back. sure vision lets you see threw a wall but it doesn’t help you protect you back
The radar undermine Promethan Vision. I will certainly don’t need PV and be able to use Jet pack / Jump Pack and such to break all of the precious map control people like so much.
Like Frankie said, the more skilled players won’t need Promethean Vision. I have done just fine with my radar, so I won’t be using this new AA much, with the exception of certain situations of course.
I would say, based on what I’ve seen, the opposite is true. The radar undermines Promethean Vision. Promethean vision old gives a limited view of enemy movement, and obscures the environment while active. Most of the information given by Promethean Vision is available through the use of the radar. The only think PV has over radar is seeing camping enemies, and this ability can be gain through the use of other in-game mods.
So, in the end, I can’t wait to see people wasting their AA slot with PV.
