I’m wondering because today I did absolutely trash in my placement matches (6/10), but ranked into Onyx. I’m not sure how that’s possible unless it takes into account previous season’s rank. Anyone have any info on this?

I think it does now. Season 2 was a hard reset (all CSR and MMR reverted to 0) from looking at izhere this season they seem to have kept mmr from season 2. So I’m guessing that plays into fast tracking you too oynx, probably also meant you had harder placement matches than normal since you were playing people closer to your skill this time.
