So with this in mind, the notion of someone in the military putting down another group in the military to make their group think they are better and thus psych them up is foreign to you?
Sarah Palmer is a veteran UNSC Marine and is now a Spartan IV supersoldier, the overabundance of self confidence is a side effect of that. I don’t see the problem.
I’m okay with the attitudes, they’re like that because they’re still new to the whole powered armor with shields, augmented strength, etc etc. Requiem is the first time S-IVs have gone into real combat with their fancy new armor and tech, they’re still riding the high of getting all their new gear and being Spartans.
As time goes on they will be tempered in battle and be honed with experience. I figure by Halo 5 the Spartan IVs will be the professional operators they were meant to be in the long run.

No of course not. All military personal deserve respect. There might be rivalries with different groups but at the end we all protect our country. I just get the message that Sarah Palmer has no respect for Dr. Halsey and the SPARTAN-IIs.

I’m sure she does respect the Spartan-IIs. As for not respecting Halsey, well, when all you are told of a person is how much of a monster they are, would you automatically respect them?
Whenever was it indicated that she thought she and the S-IVs were superior to S-IV? I got a sort of admiratory vibe from her when she first met Chief (her “Thought you’d be taller” quip just her being snarky as usual), and S-IV dialogue implies that Chief is a major reason many of them joined up.
I’m just sick of her calling scientists “Geeks”. You’d think that by the 26th century intelligence would be held above almost all else.

Well since the people in the Halo universe LACK the crucial knowledge about Halsey and the Spartan IIs that the players have, to Palmer and the others Halsey is a dangerous war criminal who performed Frankenstein styled experiments on children.
WE know otherwise but THEY know as much as ONI allows.
As for the Spartan IIs there is never any indication about her not respecting them. And if you bring up the “I thought you’d be taller” joke she made then I’m bringing up all the times Johnson poked fun at the Chief like how he flew well for a brick, why he’s a crazy fool for always jumping, etc etc. Or Cortana prodding the Chief for never getting her anything when Johnson brings them a tank.
