ok I’m thinking about buying Halo 2 PC.
I love Halo and try to get all the Achievement in the Halo Games.
I know Halo 2 PC has Achievements, but some are in MP.
Does MP still work on Halo 2 PC?
or was it shut down like Halo 2 (Xbox)?
DO you think it would be worth buying?

I would recommend it. I’m not so sure about MM being online.
But it’s a great game and has easy achievements.
Multiplayer is down for some reason right now, but even if it was still up, it will be very difficult to get all the achievements such as:
Violent Cartographer: Play every available default map and stay in each game until its over.
The only servers are in Coagulation, Lockout, District, and Foundation. It’ll be rare to find anything other than that.
Also the achievement Rainman requires you to play every game variant, and people only play on Slayer and Capture the Flag.
Other than the multiplayer being down and the multiplayer achievements, the campaign is really good, although it doesn’t look like your holding your weapon when you look all the way up or down (sometimes your hand will go through it). But that might just be my computer.
Last time I checked there were still a handful of players playing online. Though, just having players there doesn’t mean you’ll have an enjoyable experience; your ping to the popular servers may make the game unplayable.
Yeah, its not to hard to find a game on there. There isn’t a huge number of people that play it.
Two achievements will be extremely hard to get. I waited months and months, might have even been a year until i got a few people together to complete them.
Recently there online matchmaking is down and there hasn’t been anything said about it from the officials.

Yeah it still has MP but it’s been down recently. MS says it’s Maintenence.
Yes, but make sure your graphics card is an average NIVIDA (others seem to have issues.) and you have Windows Vista.
