I just got done playing on Longbow, my first game since the ‘X’ was implemented into Halo 4, and it was quite inconsistent. Sometimes the ‘X’ would disappear almost immediately, and sometimes it would stay for a few seconds. Does this have anything to do with Instant Respawn? If so, I think that’s pretty stupid. The ‘X’ should always be there for a few seconds regardless of whether or not a player hits ‘Respawn Now’.
The White X stays there until the player respawns. This means in Game modes with instant respawn the X white dissapear mostly right away.

Can we get this verified in the CTF playlist where it’s 10 second spawns?

You do it, afterall i think you own Halo 4 do you? I would try it out myself but my battery is out for my controller.
Im actually liking the idea of going away at spawn, afterall i do want to improve my K/D and it is pretty hard when you have waves of enemys running directly at you when they spawn, but that is only my opinion and i have no doubt that people will hate me for this.

oh…Well that’s not good…
I kind of like it. It sort of adds more thought behind pressing that X. A good team player would think “They need to find that guy, so I better wait before I press X”. So it’d be a sort of trade-off. Give up telling your teammates where an enemy is by jumping right back into the game, or wait a bit before getting back in so your team can find the enemy and help take out someone who possibly has some sort of power weapon. I like that sort of thing and I think that’s kind of what 343 had in mind when making it like that.

I would, but Im at work and cant test this until midnight cst tonight.
I’ve already tested this in a custom game of CTF. The X stays for only 1.5 seconds or so, REGARDLESS of spawn timers. It doesn’t stay on screen even if the CTF timer is 10 seconds.
Sorry to say this, but 343 couldn’t even get this right.
