I feel like Halo sets a high standard that thats a grown audience to truly understand. Not just the cussing or the gore, but being story driven and gameplay handling. As everything in Halo happens to have a story filled with lore and mechanical gameplay. Where if it is rated T or lower, breaks the (or at least mine) expectation of the game.
Where if the game was rated M, I personally thing it sets up more standards and expectancy.
I personally don’t care what it gets rated as, as long as it’s an enjoyable Halo experience, I’ll be fine with whatever rating it gets. I just hope that they make a lesser game in an effort to get that one lower rating, like if the flood were in Infinite for instance, I think the game would almost have to be rated M at that point.

Halo rarely has much cussing or gore any way. there has always been blood, but rarely any real gore, and no swear words beyond the occasional minor swear word such as -Yoink- or sh*t. Dont get me wrong I wouldn’t mind halo being more violent, but i dont think it needs to be. The main reason halo 5 was not rated M in my opinion is the rating system has become more lenient. Halo 5 has about the same amount of blood as halo 4, the only major difference is halo 5 does not have the composer scene where the people’s faces melt away. So halo infinite will most likely be rated T as well, not because it will be any less violent, but simply the rating system is getting more lenient, and I doubt they will add a bunch of gore and f bombs to it to try to make it M rated.
I just hope 343 created the game they wanted, without nit-picking every scene to ensure it gets a Teen rating. But if it just naturally ends up being T, I won’t mind.
