Does Infinite coop campaign require XBL Gold?

Does the Halo Infinite coop campaign require an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play online with console? I mean, if I already bought the campaign, there shouldn’t be more barriers to play with friends since neither the PC version nor console Multiplayer require an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Can anyone confirm? I probably won’t buy a new Xbox if this is the case and stick to PC instead :frowning:

It probably will require Gold.

Honestly, I wish they would do away with pay-for-online-play thing.
Cross play with PC (basically non-paying customers) already shows that they can do it but somehow free online play is taboo on console.
